We booked a deluxe king suite days prior to arrival. We did not receive this deluxe king suite. When we asked the front desk about it, she stated that I did not actually book that room. I showed her my reservation confirmation, and then she tried to go back and say that my original room was already booked.
They did not have anything for us to buy, such as food or drinks. They only had vending machines that didn’t work. The ice machine was also out of order. The water fountains were taped off and inaccessible. The swimming pool was being painted which made it also inaccessible.
We went down to get breakfast at 9:15. There was a very limited selection. We were told no more food would be made and put out even though breakfast didn’t end until 10:00.
If I would’ve known we would not be given the room we originally booked or about the poor conditions of the hotel, I would not have paid cash for my room. I would’ve told them we would be looking for other hotel options. We will not be considering any other La Quinta locations for our future stays.
