Translated from Icelandic (the owners homeland), Litla Heima means Little Home and is a sanctuary where Scandinavian-inspired minimalism meets the rugged elegance of the North Georgia mountains. Nestled within the gates of the prestigious Big Canoe community, this isn’t just a rental; it is a curated experience designed for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

Art is deeply meaningful to our family and has been part of our story since the beginning. Over the years, we’ve thoughtfully collected pieces that bring us joy and inspiration. The owner, Ali, is a working artist, and throughout the home you’ll find her artwork alongside pieces by other artists she and her husband admire and have collected over time.

Our hope is that your stay feels like a truly curated and unique experience - one where you’re surrounded by the beauty of the arts that enrich our lives daily, from paintings to ceramics to the beautiful nature that surrounds the home. We invite you to slow down, take it all in, and enjoy a cozy retreat filled with creativity, character, and intention.

We’ve thoughtfully outfitted the home with the same comforts we look for when we travel. You’ll find high-end linens, plush towels, and high-end soaps throughout, all chosen to create a relaxing and indulgent stay.

Mornings are meant to be enjoyed, so we’ve also provided fresh coffee and a selection of teas to help you ease into the day. Every detail has been considered to ensure your experience feels comfortable, effortless, and just a little bit elevated.

Guests enjoy full access to the 2-car garage, offering added convenience, privacy, and ease throughout your stay. There are also 2 dedicated parking spots on the driveway. This secure, private space allows for effortless arrival and departure, enhancing the overall comfort and luxury experience of the home.

Please note - guests of Big Canoe have access to all amenities but fees may apply:

• Indoor and outdoor pools + the beach and multiple lakes (we recommend renting a pontoon boat for half a day)

• 27 pristine holes of Golf
• Over 20 miles of hiking and walking trails, with direct backyard access from Litla Heima.

Guest Support
We personally manage the home and are always just a message away if you need anything - recommendations, help, or otherwise. Our hosts live in Big Canoe only 5 minutes away from Litla Heima and are excited for you to enjoy the community they love so much.

Guest Guidebook
A custom guidebook with local recommendations will be emailed to you in advance of your arrival. We also have a copy available for you in the home. No need to read through the entire book (unless you want to).

Professionally cleaned and inspected before every stay for a fresh, five-star experience.

Age & Safety
Best suited for adults and families with children 10+.
The home is not childproofed and includes stairs, elevated decks, and original artwork. Parents are asked to supervise children and help care for the home.

We recommend travel insurance, as refunds are not provided for weather or travel disruptions.
