I didn’t want to give this hotel 1 star as the staff were very nice but ants all over the room and roadworks literally outside my bedroom window at night made for a night I’d rather forget. The bathroom light was also faulty. I know the noise wasn’t the hotels fault but the sound proofing on windows is non existent and the ants really can’t be excused. Hopefully it’s a one off but I hope the management will look into this.

We booked the executive double room for our stay and was disappointed with the room. The bath suite was damaged and was very dangerous as it was sharp around the edges. The radiator in the room was also not working and there was no iron in the room. We were only in the room for a few hours before we went out so didn't make to much fuss about it. We made the receptionist aware of the issue when we checked out. Was most annoyed that the cleaners didn't pick up on the bath that was broken as they must clean this before guests arrive ! Overall disappointing but luckily we only stayed the one night but expected a bit better for an executive room !

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to post a review. I am sorry that you were disappointed with the room. If you remember we spoke at the reception on your checkout. The bath panel is being replaced, thank you for letting me know. The radiator had been turned off at the valve on the bottom, I can only presume that was the previous guests, and I am sorry about that. Regards John

Comfy and clean room.

Pros: Free parking, clean room, good facilities in room.
Cons: Air con.
Location: Did not explore the short stay, did notice a few take aways nearby and railstation is a few minutes awa.
Only stay here for 1 night while attending training at local hospital. Basic facilities however impressed with room facilities and cleaniness. Also big advantage is free parking at the rear of the hotel. The room has no air con so summer or warm days may be unbearable, there is restricted opening to window. Would consider this hotel again due to good rate and free parking.

Value for money

This hotel was excellent value for money, it was extremely clean, had a hair dryer,iron and free internet. My room was a single and a little old fashioned but I had everything I needed, I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food but would definitely stay here again. It was a 2minute walk from the railway station and 10 minute walk to town centre.
