This hotel is in a good location and the rooms are spacious. We've stayed at this hotel twice and the only con is that they should consider changing up the breakfast menu as everyone does not consume meat.

I was in town for business and stayed at the Holiday Inn Farmington Hills for 3 nights. My room was very clean, spacious and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom had excellent lighting for applying makeup (you know what I mean, ladies), and also had a hair dryer. Breakfast was included and was good enough to hold you over until lunchtime. The location is great with some restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. Also nearby were several shopping centers, so there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. Nice place! I'd stay there again. About a 30-35 minute drive from DTW.

Room was good, but the restaurant left much to be desired. We had signed up for free breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was closed for dinner on Saturday (for a wedding) and Sunday. Closed on Monday because the chef didn't show up. Desk personnel did not even know the restaurant did not serve dinner on Monday. Told us to wait until 6:00 -- then the bar tender let us know.

We’ll be back

They have an issue in their pool area that when the steam builds up it sets off the fire alarm. Thankfully it was early in the evening. When I tried to call the front desk the phone didn’t work. All that said it’s a very friendly and clean property. Bed was good enough and we rested well. We will be back!

The check in was terrible. I was supposed to have 4 rooms and only ended up with 3. I was quoted 1200 for the 4 rooms but ended up paying 1200 for 3. I used a 3rd party app.

My reception was pleasant (receptionist: blond low cut chocolate skinned lady) service mark down is due to the rest of the team. We also lost a whole night of sleep due to very loud guests with their children banging doors and playing loud music. Because people are using the pool, the lobby and elevator was always wet which is a trip hazard. There should either be someone on top of that or a request for guests to dry themselves before exiting the pool area. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Otherwise, love the location and our room.
