Room 'Zaffiro' with Mountain View and Wi-Fi

The Room Zaffiro, which is situated in Donnas, overlooks the Alps. The 24 m² property consists of 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and can therefore accommodate 3 people. Additional amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi (suitable for video calls), a TV as well as children's books and toys. A baby cot and a high chair are also available. This accommodation does not offer: air conditioning. This vacation rental features a private balcony ideal for relaxing evenings.

The walls of an old house are a mirror of those who lived in it, they have seen the passage of time, the intertwining of generations who, in that dwelling, spent moments of their lives. Some houses, at times, become ruins, are abandoned and die out. In other cases, there are people who leave their hearts in those houses, who see them as part of their lives and cannot imagine that they might be lost. This is the story of the structure, dating back to the early decades of the 20th century, that houses the B&B Il Girasole, in a small town at the mouth of the Aosta Valley, Donnas, a place rich in history and the gateway to stupendous valleys known in winter for skiing and in summer for unspoiled nature. Wanting to breathe new life into the house, which belonged to my paternal great-grandparents, was Mauro, my dad, who saw in that building the life of yesteryear when wine was produced inside. Renovation, aimed at opening a tourist business, began in 2018, but Mauro was unable to see it through. I, however, aware that my father's wish was to complete the work, continued with the help of my mom Patrizia, and today we can see the results. The structure is spread over two floors.

On the ground floor is a large sunny space for breakfast and a room with a bathroom, while on the second floor are three rooms with bathrooms: one with a spacious terrace and another with a balcony. A large private parking lot welcomes guests, flanked by a dehors to enjoy moments of relaxation.

The philosophy that animates my reception is based on some principles of living well: to offer a space of serenity to guests and to make them taste and appreciate the best products of the territory, both with the abundant breakfast and in moments of well-being in the rooms.
