The room itself was a little bit dated (with the exception of the bathroom that has been updated). The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel provided easy access to various attractions, as well as the Park and Ride into the city, which was only about a 20 minute drive.

Nice Stay

Check in was fine. Room a bit dark but fine, shower worked well and bed comfy. Bistro was nice, overlooking garden. Food was good although steaks were expensive and didn’t come with onion rings. Breakfast was really nice and cooked to order. Enjoyed our stay. Only complaint was none of the staff were very friendly or appeared happy.

Pitbauchlie House Hotel was lovely. The room was a little outdated, but the rest of the property was nice! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the dining was delicious. The location is not ideal (nothing really great within walking distance), but it's a close enough drive to Edinburgh or to a train station to other places.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for getting a train into Edinburgh (about a 20 minute walk from hotel). Dunfermline Abbey well worth a visit too. Have marked down facilities simply because there is no lift, so if you have a problem with stairs, be sure to specifically request a ground floor room. I will use this hotel again next time visiting Edinburgh.
