Nestled in the Animas River Valley surrounded by the San Juan Mountains, the breathtaking mountain town of historic Durango awaits.



With the Animas River—El Río de las Animas (River of Souls)—running through and just steps away from San Juan National Forest, this is the ideal getaway for outdoor aficionados with gold medal fly fishing waters, whitewater rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Durango is also popular for outdoor activities like hiking, mountain biking, road biking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, hunting, off-roading, year-round fishing, and golfing. A visit to Durango would not be complete without a ride on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, with stunning mountain scenery and an education on the area's mining history.



The Durango Resort offers apartment-style accommodation with fully equipped kitchens, a fitness center and two outdoor hot tubs with breathtaking mountain views.



The resort assigns the specific unit around the time of check-in so your view may vary. Let us know if you have a preference to be near a specific location throughout the resort or if you would like a specific view. We will gladly notate your preference and send this over to the resort as your stay gets closer. Please notate that requests are not guaranteed.

For the entire construction period, there will be a one-lane closure to the main road leading to the resort and a full closure periodically. This property was fantastic. Very clean, a nice size room and comfortable space. The bed was wonderful and the shower was nice and new. parking was spot on and close to downtown for walking to restaurants and bars close by. Friendly staff. Clean and a great price.

This is hands down the best place to stay in Durango. Once there you hardly need a car and can walk to all the great things in downtown Durango. Their maintenance and upkeep of the units is top notch. Unit has everything you need and more. Front Desk Staff are amazing and kind!

Summer Getaway

First time visitors to Durango, CO for our summer getaway. Durango did not disappoint! The Resort staff was great & made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was very spacious & clean. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the whole property overall. Staff was wonderful, friendly & very welcoming. Durango overall was a great place to visit!

The check in and out process was easy. The staff is very kind and helpful. It is clear they take pride in their facilty and service. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Everything in the room was clean and tidy. The pool table, arcade machine, and board games to check out was a bonus. Parking was easy and the location is perfect for walking to the historic district for shops, dining, and the train station. We would absolutely come back.

Great resort option

We loved staying here. All rooms have a kitchen so it was great to be able to bake pizzas one night. Perfect for couples or families. They have a hot tub and game room. Right by Main Street and also walking distance from the train. Great location. We totally recommend it.

Location was amazing and the room was clean. My seven year old loved the game room. Overall it was nice. Although, the last night we were there, we were told we couldnt park in the normal reserved parking and had to find somewhere else to park. They were also working on repaving the sidewalks so there was some construction noise.

Walk to everything in Durango

We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit was clean with all the amenities you could need. We used the hot tub in the roof, very relaxing. We were able to walk to all the shops and restaurants in Durango from our room. I definitely recommend staying here and I would re-book again! Thank you!

Perfect stay, great service!

We had an amazing stay at Club Wyndham in Durango! The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We even received a “Guest of the Month” welcome basket, which was such a thoughtful surprise and made us feel extra special. When we realized we had forgotten our pack and play, the receptionist quickly helped us out by lending one—such a lifesaver with a baby in tow. The room was clean, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing family trip. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Durango stay

The online pic was a bit deceiving. It shows the building and a hill out side if it. Actually it is right up against the train yard in one due snd a hotel on the other side. Really not close to nature as the pic indicated. However you could easily walk to the historic district snd restaurants.

We loved these rooms! The bed.was comfy and room was nice and spacious. The location was.perfect for our stay. The staff was also very nice and helpful. We were disapoonted in oir balcony view. We were expecting a mountain view as depicted on the booking site. Instead we had a view of a.motel under construction. Also, we were i formed when we checked in that we had to pay for parking. They said we were notified, but we failed to receive notification.
