Classic hotel that truly lives up to the name!

Beautiful classic hotel that is grand in all aspects not just name. Aside from the opulent surroundings, the service was excellent - responsive and helpful staff. The breakfast (the only meal I had at the hotel) was absolutely outstanding. Super comfortable bed and room also - two nights of great sleep even though I don't normally sleep well away from home. Will be back with the whole family!

Beautiful building and comfy bed and room

Amazing hotel and grounds. Plenty of parking out of season so no need to pay to pre book. We stayed in a superior room which looked newly renovated. The bed was comfy and everything was high quality. Breakfast in the morning was also very nice and good quality, and all ordered and served with table service. There was also a self serve continental buffet. Staff all friendly and helpful, making it a pleasurable experience overall.

This is my favourite hotel full stop! It’s always a complete delight staying here. Fantastic hotel, beautiful rooms with extremely comfortable bed, superb service and wonderful, attentive staff all set in a remarkably beautiful building by the sea. The room was rather small for such an expensive hotel. I can understand that if you don't pay the extra for a sea view, you don't get a sea view. But the view from the room of a rather inspiring courtyard wasn't great.

The Grand Hotel Eastbourne

Exceptional hotel, going back in time with a Modern Twist & 5 star service. The warm welcome you get as soon as you walk through the entrance is very special. We had an afternoon tea, used the Spa facilities as well as a treatment. Special thanks to Alice who did my facial and massage and Tony from concierge who did a showed me around the hotel to help choose our room.
