Whalevue disappointment.

On the surface Whalevue looks good. As the stay progressed though, we had cause for annoyance. An ironing board was present but no iron! The meager crockery provided was not clean. We love our wine but the only wine vessels were plastic and unusable. The only sharp knife was a bread knife! The view from the balcony was amazing but could only be seen while standing! (Suggest stools?)The only bedding was a heavy doona which made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. The TVs were good although we had no cause to use them. All in all, not a memorable stay. 🙁

This property is an apartment in a dreadful-looking 1960's apartment block that has seen better days. The apartment is on the top floor of the 2-storey apartment block that has steep concrete steps to the front door. The approach is most uninviting with an old rusted out BBQ parked on the landing outside the front door. The view, however, is fantastic and to die for.

Great view and location!

Great location with a spectacular view! Windows in bedrooms were locked and there was no AC in the bedrooms. It was sticky and very hot and uncomfortable. We tried to contact someone but nobody ever answered our texts or gave us a call back. Steep stairs lead up to the room. One step of the stairs is loose and could be a safety risk. The property looks dated and part of it seemed to be under construction.

Whales!!!

Just loved being able to sit on the balcony outside and watch the whales. The huge windows in the living area let us sit inside and keep watching too! Fantastic location. Literally steps away town, next to the museum. A great base for exploring the area. The unit had everything we needed and extra like the coffee machine, salt pepper ...
