Front desk staff and restaurant staff were wonderful. The 1st room we were put in was absolutely disgusting. The smell was unbelievable, the bed frame was broken, food wrappers, crumbs, glasses, sock and press on finger nail under the bed found when I tried to fix the bed frame. It looked like there had been no attempt to clean this room in a long time. We were approached by someone claiming to be a maintenance worker and he said he couldn’t believe they put us in that part of the hotel because of the lack of upkeep in that section over the years. We voiced our concerns and were moved to another room in the same area (actually next door) The room was better but one of the coffee cup lids had been used by the previous customer for a dog food dish and there was still dog food in it and it was placed with all the clean cups and lids. Another miss by housekeeping. There is no AC in the part of the hotel we stayed in. The heater is either on or off in all rooms in the part of the hotel we stayed in also. If you have the heat on, it blows 24/7 regardless of what the temp is set at so you have to turn the system on and off every few hours and open doors and windows to control the climate. Not very convenient when the room hits 90 degrees at night. The icing on this stay was that we booked through Expedia and prepaid for 3 nights ($454.53) before our stay. I was charged an additional $257.58 for my 1st which I’m still trying to get off my card. Restaurant-Yes / Hotel-No!!!
