Great place to stay

Very comfy room and bed. Overlooked the harbor. Very nice staff. Always smelled clean and fresh. Even saw them washing the hallways walls!! They open the windows in the halls every day and let the fresh air come in. Only complaint was the breakfast choices. Cereal, breads, juices and apples and tangerines. Would have been nice to have some protein. Breakfast area was always clean the the staff were ways asking if we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again. Great food options within walking distance.

The Gambling Trip

The check in and out was very quick. The room was clean and the shower has the shampoo, conditioner and the liquid soap..On the wall for easy use.

Why visit here?

The best thing about staying at the Lighthouse Inn is leaving. In fact, if you’re still planning your trip, consider not staying in Crescent City at all. Stay in Arcata or Gold Beach instead because Crescent City really doesn’t have much to offer! But back to the Lighthouse Inn…the furnishings haven’t changed at all from the 1980’s including the wall paper, carpet and bed spread. The pillows are worn and tired and the bed sheets don’t even fit on the bed. And the bathroom sink is in the middle of the bedroom. Really a strange place. But don’t know how it got so many positive reviews? The only redeeming quality was the friendliness of the desk staff.

Laundry room closed at 8. We were counting on using it after exploring. Very inconvenient. And front desk not friendly about it even though I was very polite. Toaster machine hung up and burnt everyone’s breakfast. Some unsanitary conditions in breakfast area. Large room but laid out very odd. It was very 80s style throughout the hotel. Just not my favorite and way too expensive.

Room was clean. Bedding outdated. Comforter seemed very old. Weird was having the sink and mirror in the main room instead of the bathroom. Lobby though is excellent with different kind of coffee choices, tea and hot chocolate 24/7.
