Hotel Folly - Room 6
The check in process was seemless. We arrived an hour and a half early and called to ask for an early check in. I had to leave a message, but management called right back within a few minutes and advised us we could use the code and go in. The room was very well decorated and clean. Everything seemed to be in order just as described. We were eager to get to the beach so we didnt check everything right away. After returning late in the evening, we just wanted to relax, kick back and watch tv. At that point we discovered the tv was not hooked up and did not have a signal. I called the 24/7 phone number and was told no one would be available to check on it because it was late and no one would be working the next day because it was Sunday. However, Sunday morning I received a call and the tv was fixed while we were on the beach. I did appreciate that the issue was taken care of but, there was not a "cable box" attached the first day and I don't know how that was missed before. Then, on our first night, someone in the building was playing loud music. This went on until around 12:30 am. When I finally got up to see where it was coming from, it stopped, so i didn't bother to call anyone. On our second night, we needed to leave early the next morning, (around 3am), but sleeping was difficult due to several incidents of slamming doors in the building and fire truck sirens on Center St. I have stayed oceanfront in Folly before for less money and much quieter surroundings.
