This magnificent villa blends perfectly with its surroundings, in a private garden (10,000m2) with a stunning swimming pool. The villa is laid out over 3 floors and can sleep up to 16 people. Its position, in the heart of the Salento peninsula, makes it an ideal choice for families or friends looking for a relaxing holiday and the opportunity to explore the fascinating “heel” of Italy.

The imposing gateway, opens onto a long private driveway, leading past lawns and trees up to the main house. The villa’s layout offers guests the chance to holiday together but retain a good level of privacy.

On the lower ground floor, there is a spacious games room with a pool table, a comfortable sitting room, furnished with sofas, a large TV and a big open fireplace, a dining area and a kitchen. There is also a bedroom with two double beds.

On the ground floor, there is a large, elegant salon, beautifully furnished with French windows opening onto the terrace and garden beyond. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Four of the six bedrooms are on this floor.

Access to the first floor of the villa is via an external staircase which makes it completely separate and private. There is a large terrace with panoramic views. This apartment also has its own kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom.

The villa’s extensive walled gardens include a large swimming pool surrounded by sun loungers and chairs where guests can relax after a refreshing swim. Next to the swimming pool is an open loggia, which houses a kitchenette with an oven and stove as well as a dining area, sofa, large TV and table football. There is also a Swedish sauna, changing room, shower and WC. There is also a jacuzzi.

Sleeping
The villa has 6 lovely bedrooms. Five of these rooms have a double bed and the sixth has 2 double beds.
Extra: The sofa in the living room on the first floor converts into a comfortable double bed.

Bathrooms
Each room has its own bathroom. Four bathrooms have a shower and two have a full bath with shower. They all have washbasins, bidets and WC’s.

Location
The villa is on the outskirts of the historic town of Galatina, 5 minutes from the historic centre. Galatina is a hidden gem. Like Lecce (20 minutes away) the town has a beautifully preserved Baroque town centre, with lovely churches and palaces. It is a lovely place, where you can lose yourself for a few hours, exploring its restaurants, bars and boutiques. The town is famous as the birthplace of the delicious Puglian dessert of Pasticciotto. For more delicious local food, the weekly market takes place every Thursday morning and is well worth a visit.

In the centre of the Salento peninsula, the villa is within easy reach of either coast. The sandy beach of Santa Catarina al Bagno (20 minutes) makes a wonderful day out. The port of Gallipoli (the Beautiful City), which was founded by Greek settlers thousands of years ago, is just 20 minutes away. Here you will find fascinating historical sites, ancient city walls and some of the best fish in Salento.

The city of Lecce, the “Florence of the South”, is famous for its wonderful Baroque architecture as well as its Roman ruins. It is a jewel of a city and well worth a visit. Not only for its long history but also for its excellent food and good shopping.

The closest airport is Salento Airport, Brindisi - just 50 minutes away by car.
