Cozy Home secluded in the Wildlife Preserves

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. A 2100 sq. ft. split level home, located in The Galena Territory, on a secluded acre, surrounded by Wildlife Preserves. During your stay, you can enjoy our complimentary coffee, WIFI, game room which includes Ping-Pong and multigame Pac-Man arcade. You can relax in the screened-in porch, open deck, or sit around the fire pit and admire the incredible view of the brilliant stars.

We enjoyed the property. We loved how cozy the house was and all the extra touches like the coffee bar were wonderful. We gave it 4 stars because there was a lot of dog waste in the backyard and we were bummed to find no shampoo in the showers but other than that it was wonderful!

Great home and location! All beds and pillows were comfortable, kitchen well stocked with essentials for cooking, and coffee bar was a nice touch. You cannot tell from the listing photos but the split rail fence also has wire mesh preventing dogs from sneaking out. Laundry detergent was a blessing given we had two babies under 1yr old with us! The fact that paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, hand lotion, body wash, toilet paper, bath towels, fans, dog bowls, dog towels, and more were all supplied and available to us made this the best VRBO stay our family has experienced to date.

The location was great. The HUGE fenced in yard was paradise for our pupster and we couldn’t drag my son away from the fire pit. Easy access, fast communication and plenary of room inside and out makes this one a keeper for us. We will definitely be back.

Annual Girls Trip

The property was very clean and welcoming with a wonderful coffee bar, plenty of towels and other necessities. We enjoyed playing games at the large table and watching the hummingbirds and other birds in this beautiful location. I would highly recommend this property.

Well appointed home in great location

Great area/great home

Very nice, comfortable, clean home in wonderful area. We loved going into downtown Galena and coming back and playing ping pong & PacMan!The fenced in yard was fantastic for our dogs to run around and burn up some energy.Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at a beautiful home with an amazing backyard! We enjoyed our stay and we had the perfect place to relax and have a great time. Our host was fantastic and we had everything we needed to cook, grill relax and just have fun. I highly recommend Joseph’s home. I know we would love to stay here again someday.

Good time had by all!

We loved our clean and cozy VRBO house. The kids loved the ping-pong table and Connect 4. The fenced-in yard for our dog was amazing and we loved the fire pit as well! Highly recommend!

Spring break

Our family enjoyed our stay . The home and property are lovely. All linens and bath towels were fresh.My only complaint is an extra kitchen towel or 2 would have been nice( the one there was actually a linen napkin) and the pots could stand to be replaced. The 2 big fry pans were worn and stained and a small fry pan for eggs and saucepans for boiling noodles would have been nice but we made do. Very minor inconvenience. We’d stay again though. Thank you for sharing your home.

Short getaway

This was such a nice quick getaway with the family! It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs with us!! We don’t travel much because it’s not always easy to find pet sitters but this was great and a big back yard for them to run in!

Great location for relaxing and reconnecting!

The house is a great location. Our group was 3 couples and there was enough room for each couple to have privacy but also great space to come together and enjoy each other’s company.

Wonderful short stay

Everything about the place was perfect. There was a slight hiccup with getting in initially but the property handled everything very quickly. The place was very clean and decorated with cute winter decor. There was even a hot chocolate bar with cocoa and cookies provided. We had a great time playing games in the basement and there were also board games provided. The loft has a cute little reading area that I didn't get to take advantage of but they even provide books for you. We made all of our meals and there was plenty of cookware to accommodate our needs. I am looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Beautiful house with very comfy beds

The rooms were perfect for 5 adults. All of the Christmas decorations made it extra special for our family Christmas celebration. Some of the kitchen supplies could use updates but we had just about everything we needed. A large serving spoon would be nice but that's such a small thing. The coffee maker didn't work on the pot side but I didn't take time to contact the owner because the single cup side worked. All the extra coffee supplies was such a nice touch. We would definitely stay there again when int the area. Thank you
