Located in the desirable Terramar Beach area, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, Sea Lover Cottage sits on a beautiful canal and offers easy proximity to the bay and to the beach at an affordable price. Sea Lover Cottage is clean and bright, and well-appointed.
Enjoy your coffee and start your day by viewing a glorious sunrise from the canal deck. Take a walk on the beach filled with shells for the collector or build a sandcastle. Go for a swim in the Gulf waters filled with sea life. Body surf or bird watch. Enjoy peace and quiet, with the exception of a meddling seagull. Take your kayak for a spin on the canal from your private boat house or bring your poles and net to fish and crab the canal under the boat house overhead lights. Complete your day by grilling your catch and relaxing in the warm evening breezes constant through the lower-level boat house.
There is a green overhead light that shines in the canal for fun night-time fishing. You can really see all the fish swim through the light at night!
If entertainment and excitement are for you, Sea Lover Cottage is convenient to Schlitterbahn Water Park, Moody Gardens, the Flight Museum, Sea Wolf Park, Galveston’s historic Strand District, the Galveston Pleasure Pier and much more.
Bring your watercraft! The house is adjoined by a private boat house and boat slip. Terramar’s boat launch is available for your use. The Terramar Navigation Channel connects Terramar’s boat launch area, its turning basin, and its four residential canals to West Galveston Bay. Step off your private dock into your vessel and motor out to the Bay for a day of great fishing! Upon your return, clean your catch right on the dock and barbecue your catch on the grill conveniently located. Your private dock includes overhead lights for fun night-time fishing. Trout, redfish, flounder as well as blue and stone crabs are caught right off Sea Lover Cottage’s lighted dock. Your private boat slip is also ideal for launching your canoe, kayak or other people-powered craft.
Just across San Luis Pass Road are Terramar Beach and the Gulf of Mexico. Sea Lover Cottage offers the best of two great water experiences; the home is caressed by the salt marshes and inlets of West Galveston Bay on one side, and the Gulf of Mexico on the other side. Whether by the bay or the beach, your entire family will make unforgettable vacation memories at this seaside retreat.
Terramar Beach Community:
Beach – The beach on the Gulf may be reached from the Terramar Beach main entrance at the end of Terramar Drive, or across any of the three public walkovers.
Swimming Pool – The Terramar Beach pool is open daily from May 1 - September 30. It is closed on Tuesdays for cleaning. Hours: 10:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M.
Boat Launch and Pier – There is a private boat launch ramp with a turning basin and dredged navigation channel extending into West Galveston Bay. The boat ramp recently underwent repairs. It is a brief 20 minutes by boat to San Luis Pass and the Gulf of Mexico.
