The remodeled motel is very cutely themed with mid century modern decor that gives it all the cute points. However, the floors are painted concrete which is dented and cracked with no rug. There was old dirty caulk and grime at the base of the walls. My toilet was very crooked. The staff didn’t know if there was a WiFi password and didn’t get up to help me. They told me to call the desk from my room but I never found a phone in my room. I had to pay a resort fee but it is not a resort. The hotel restaurant was closed both days I stayed. With everything being concrete, other guests were very loud and I could feel other doors slam as I was in the bed. I did not sleep well. The beach was right across the street and access was convenient. Overall I’d say it was just OK.

Island Hot Spot

Hidden gem - been coming to Galveston for years. First time at Lucine and we will be back. Great vibes, great views (upstairs bar/patio, the pool is awesome, mid-century decor) and a great stay!

The hotel is a lovely but the rooms are getting a bit worn. The beds are comfortable; the food and beverage are thoughtful and on point. We wish there was a chair in the room. We've stayed here several times, we highly recommend it, and love the hotel vibe. The staff is wonderful.

Very cute property - loved the overall vibe. Some areas are needing some updates/paint. The rooms are tiny, but comfortable beds. The bathroom could have been cleaner. There was a seashell on the floor when we arrived. The staff is amazing - super friendly and helpful!

Hotel Lucine is a small boutique hotel which caters to everyone. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is very well staffed and the service was wonderful. The Fancy restaurant has a wonderful fine-ish menu. Well done.
