Nestled in Galveston's East End Historic District in close proximity to UTMB, the Strand, and the beach, Shades of Blue is perfect for your island getaway. It's the perfect mix of historic charm and modern luxury. This freshly updated pet-friendly home is perfect for your family vacation or an extended stay. Its three bedrooms include 2 kings and 1 queen. This house has everything you'll need for a fun and relaxing stay in historic Galveston!

BEDROOMS
Shades of Blue generously offers 2 king beds and 1 queen bed. There are 3 bedrooms total, each with a bed of its own for your privacy. Nestle yourself into a spacious bed and drift off to a restorative night’s sleep! The king bedrooms include a Roku SmartTV and a dresser.

BATHROOM

There is 1 bathroom with a shower + tub combination, which is particularly convenient for families with small children. Enjoy steady hot water and great water pressure. Bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and body lotion are provided.

KITCHEN

A sizable island + multiple counters make this kitchen the perfect space for groups that like to cook together. Fully equipped with glasses, mugs, plates, bowls & silverware for 6. Coffee/Tea Bar includes drip coffee maker, Keurig, and electric kettle. Blender, toaster, crock pot, and microwave included. Electric stovetop range + oven. Pots/pans, baking sheet, oil, salt & pepper.

Great Spot

Nice property in a great location for our needs. Quiet street and some great restaurants in walking distance. Very well equipped and cozy! Would have liked more direct communication from the manager before I got on the plane as requested.

LOVED SHADES OF BLUE

We were most pleased with our stay at Shades of Blue. The house is clean, and our stay was comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with most everything needed for a “Home away from Home”. The bathroom was clean, although the door handle needed to be wiggled a little to open and close the door…but not a complaint as it is understandable since the house is a little older. The proximity to UTMB was a major plus for us, as we were able to walk to and from to visit/stay with a family member in ICU. Justin was the ABSOLUTE best host. The container of laundry pods was empty, but Justin brought over a refill within an hour of notifying him. We also needed an extension of three days due to our situation at UTMB, but unfortunately Shades of Blue was already booked. Justin was able to assist us with another of their rental properties nearby. We sincerely appreciate Justin accommodating to assist us on short notice. He is the BEST!!! If we return to Galveston (whether on business or pleasure), we will definitely choose Shades of Blue (or another of their properties). We highly recommend Shades of Blue!!

Cozy home in a great location

We were very comfortable here. We especially enjoyed the shady backyard in the morning and late afternoon. It is centrally located in a quiet neighborhood. Three cafes are just a couple of blocks away. The hosts were responsive the one time the internet went down and got back to us within the hour. Otherwise our stay was uneventful.

Exceptional rental

This was the perfect rental. The location was close to UTMB, restaurants and the beach. The house was clean and well stocked. The hosts replied instantly when we had a need. The decor was so cute. The tv had all the apps we would want (Netflix and Peloton for a quick workout). We will definitely stay again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

Wonderful house

Wonderful house!! It was so cute, clean, comfortable, and looked exactly like the pictures!! The owners were super nice people and were very helpful in anything we needed! We were so pleased with everything! And it was so nice that we were allowed to have our bigger dog with us! Most places that said they were dog friendly only allowed dogs that were 25 pounds or less. If you bring your dog, please be respectful and clean up after them, I don’t want to loose this accommodation for the next time we stay there. The house is also in the historic part of town and there were so many pretty places around there! It is also close to all the fun things to go do in Galveston!! We had such a great time there! We will definitely rent this house again!! Thank you so much for a great place to stay!
