Great location- spacious common areas

Stayed here for a night visiting Galveston for Spring Break. The location was great- right on the water and within walking distance to some local shops and places to eat. The common area was spacious and had a lot of areas to sit and relax, do some work, or watch some of their tvs. There were 2 coffee bars which were convenient but they were empty half of the day we were there. The room itself was nice, the air conditioner was extremely loud and made noise throughout most of the night. I would say that was the biggest downfall. Other than that, the staff were friendly and everything was clean. They had two different breakfast buffets in the morning to choose from that both had a ton of variety and options.

We stayed in a balcony room with an ocean view, but the road noise was really loud, so we couldn't really enjoy sitting out there. I realize this is not the fault of the hotel, but just wanted to say it, so others are aware.

Bait and switch - online photos showed a full ocean view. What I got was a partial view but a good view of the hospital next door . Employee at the front desk couldn't find my reservation without help. Found another front desk employee asleep.
