I stayed before a few times and the place has gone down hill. Rooms were not cleaned for our two nights stay- we were 3 pals there for golf weekend. No robes in the room. Car park no longer available, and the breakfast took an eternity to get served- like 40 mins. Wont be back

Great hotel in walking distance of Galway’s lively historical shops and sites. Wonderful warm pool, dream and sauna rooms, great rooftop bar/ restaurant, and a lovely well designed bedroom with fun extra perks. Loved The Dean!

We stayed at The Dean Galway and although the hotel itself was very nice the service at breakfast wasn’t good. We waited 40 minutes for some Granola which made us late for all our appointments during the day!! The Avocado Mash was out of a packet and the poached eggs were rock hard. For such a new hotel we were disappointed. I have stayed at The Dean in Dublin and the service was way better.

This was a great stay in Galway. The king bed was two singles pushed together, so you couldn’t sleep in the middle due to a big crack, which was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast had great options & I loved the coffee in the room.

Overall a great stay at the Dean in Galway. It was very close to shop street and all the other main attractions you’d want to check out while in the city. Unfortunately the closest parking lot is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel at a public parking garage, but the hotel does offer a discounted day rate. The gym is very large and modern compared to most hotels in Ireland which was great. The only other thing worth mentioning was at our initial check in the front desk worker made a point to tell us that if we would like our room cleaned, to make sure we put the sign on the handle “to be cleaned”, otherwise they won’t know to go in to the room or not. She even went into detail stating that if you just want towels you can always come up to the front desk and we can give you some if you don’t want the room cleaned. After our first night we went out for the day and made a point to not put the “to be cleaned” sign on our door as we had all our important stuff left out in the room including passports/ cameras, computers. When we came back to the hotel room that evening, the towels in the room had been changed in the bathroom to fresh ones but the room had not been cleaned otherwise…. We were very disappointed in the miscommunication as we are usually travellers who would leave the do not disturb sign on the door when we don’t want someone coming in our room, but chose not to as they specifically stated someone would only come in if we left the sign on the door to be cleaned.

Super cool vibe

The Dean is a super funky hotel with a chill vibe and vibrant colors. We loved having a turntable in our room and vinyl to spin. The colors and feel of both the rooms, lobby, and the hotel in general are funky and vibrant. It is not located in the busy area of town, but a short walk downhill will get you to where you want to be. Quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff wasn't super helpful, but the young woman in housekeeping was very helpful. Parking is in the city parking garage, about a 6 min drive from the Dean. Pull up outside and unload. Park, then bring your parking ticket to the hotel to get validated to make it a $20/day max. Would recommend!
