Excellent Charming History

Excellent. We enjoyed our stay so much! And this hotel is haunted! The friendly staff and guest conversation about the ghosts at the hotel are great! Beautiful and historic and a great location close to restaurants and shops within waking distance, Rage parking for a few. Everything was comfortable and clean. Thank you Hotel Gettysburg! We will be back soon!

I stayed for a couple nights. Got two rooms for myself and my parents. We toured the battlefield and Eisenhower’s farm. The restaurant at the hotel had great food and the staff everywhere were very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful old hotel right in the heart of everything. Walking distance to the university and all the downtown shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds and great pillows. However the service is severely lacking. Our room was never cleaned while we were there, even on a day where we left at 10am and didn’t come back until after midnight. That also meant we didn’t get refilled coffee or other items. Our soap/conditioner dispenser were empty so we had to use shampoo and since they didn’t clean our room they were never refilled during our stay. Water pressure in the shower was really low, not enjoyable.

The front desk staff (Tristian) is amazing. Can't say enough about him. He's friendly, helpful and welcoming every single time we come in. The only complaint I would have, is I wished each room had a microwave and mini fridge, like most hotel rooms have nowadays. But that is the only thing of note. The hotel itself is amazing and warm. The rest of the staff is friendly and the grounds are wonderful. I would still highly recommend to anyone staying in Gettysburg!

The hotel is right in the center of town with lots of restaurants, coffee shops and some shopping. Parking is in the parking garage behind the hotel but is close and hasn’t been a problem. Staff were very polite and helpful. Good walking distance to most attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
