Welcome to the Cabins on Tyaughton Lake! Formally rented as the Morrow Chalets, we offer you a 4 bedroom log cabin with rustic elegance amidst a breathtaking BC backdrop!
This cabin is situated on the beautiful lake front of Tyaughton Lake, affectionately called "Tyax" Lake!

Main floor: 2 bedrooms each with a queen size bed
Second floor: 1 bedroom with 1 queen size bed, 1 bedroom with 1 queen bed and a single bed.
2 full bathrooms (one up, one down)
4 piece kitchen with full size fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave.

Beautiful and serene place! We had a lovely time with family and friends. There are 4 bed rooms, so ample of space for multiple families to stay. The cottage rooms are very clean. There are enough utensils and cutlery for a weekend stay. There is a fire place with wood and fire starters. The view of the lake from the cottage was like a painting. They also provide boats during summer months. We went in April and didn't know that the lake would be frozen. I think this should be mentioned in the property description as many people from the mainland would not guess it right. The sun rising from behind the hill looks beautiful from the cottage. The owner was courteous in communicating with us and also allowed late check out which helped us have a lazy morning for checkout. Know that there will not be any cell phone connection after Lilloet. So download an offline map of the location. The Google map location is accurate.

What a fantastic place, it was everything we had hoped for. The boats, the yard, the lake, the rooms ,all perfect and we had so much fun. Pro tip, you can get ice cream cones from Tyax, even better is to get them after walking their interpretive hike. We also visited Kingdom lake and walked to Noel and Lost lake with the kids.

Family vacation

Would love to book again. We had two sets of grandparents, ourselves and 3 kids and it was perfect. The layout was so great that it never felt congested, everything was very clean and were beyond comfortable. We go to this region frequently throughout the year and rough it, and this was a Luxurious treat in the middle of no where. It is worth the drive!was so nice to have the boat, kayaks and paddle boards, kids loved it.was surprised how much kitchen supplies they had and loved all the fans throughout the house. The grandparents weren’t keen on the drive up as it was the first time up there, but said it was worth it. Definitely screenshot every direction before leaving cell service if you’re new to the area. There is a moment of cell service at carpenter lake damn to check in on things. Just know it’s off and on gravel road, but well maintained. Would 100% recommend this remote cabin!

A trip we look forward to

We love coming to Loons Nest. Its location is perfect on the lake and next to the bike trails. Always impressed with how responsive the team are if we have a last minute question. The only wish would be for the kitchen/dining space to work better logistically and for there to be storage options for food beyond the fridge. The reality is there are limited options given the infrastructure and we make it work. We hope to be back and would recommend this cabin to others.

We had an amazing stay at the Loons Nest! It had everything we needed for our stay. It’s a great home base for outdoor adventures in the area! Check out the Bralorne Pub for some great food!

The Loons Nest! What a magical cabin!!!

We are so happy with our stay at the Loons Nest! There's so many things about this cabin that still make us smile days after we have left. Jennifer was very attentive and she went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted. She set our expectations perfectly so we were well prepared for our little cabin retreat. The cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed for our 5 days at the property. Everything was so comfortable, from the beds, to the living space, kitchen, patio. There were sitting options everywhere. We spent as much time inside and we did outside, we couldn't get enough of both! I would remind everyone to make sure you have a capable vehicle to get to the area because most of the roads are not paved. Overall, such a great place, don't hesitate to book some time at the Loons Nest if you are able to, you will not regret it.

A Family Get-A-Way

We came from all over to meet for a family holiday and rented both the chalets. Jennifer supplies paddle boards, row boats, kayaks and floater vests for everyone's enjoyment and safety. The lake is wonderful and the children practically lived in the water. Great accommodation.
