Excellent place. Everything that you needed was provided. We came for our granddaughter’s basketball tournament. I didn’t want just a place to stay, I wanted a very nice place on the water. If we ever come back to Granbury, I want to stay here. My wife, daughter and myself have told many friends about this wonderful place.

Our family enjoyed a great Thanksgiving week in Granbury. The layout was perfect for hanging out as a group while still having privacy. The sun porch with games and backyard space were ideal for the kids. Hosts were very kind and responsive to the questions we had before arriving. Beautiful and well-stocked home with great amenities both inside and out. Lots of kid-friendly activities, well-stocked kitchen, great beds, lots of room, exceptionally clean! Can’t say enough good things. Close to lots of fun things to do…Fossil Rim, Dinosaur Valley State Park, downtown Granbury. We also loved just hanging out at the house and in the backyard. It was such a peaceful and laidback place. Host was easy to contact and always helpful. We would come again!!

The Shorhaus was the perfect place for our stay in Granbury! Not only is it minutes from town but the location on the lake was awesome! The private cove was great for floating, paddle boards and fishing. The house was very clean & homey, The host were extremely accommodating & quick to respond when we needed to communicate. We’d love to come back to the Shorhaus!!!

Lots of space for activities—all in air conditioning. Lots of water activities for us all to enjoy. Large yard, fire pit, hammock—great fun. Kitchen is well equipped for lots of people. Even 2 refrigerators were wonderful. Not enough space to cover how awesome it was. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL!!!

We loved our stay for Mother’s Day weekend-property has a great layout & wonderful position on the lake. Interior was clean and offered everything we needed. Fire pit & Dock area was a great spot to hang out and watch the birds in the morning and enjoy the water toys in the afternoon.Looking forward to our next visit.

We had the most wonderful time at this beautiful lake house! It was the perfect setting for our ladies weekend—peaceful, relaxing, and absolutely charming. The house was spotless, well-stocked, and thoughtfully decorated, with plenty of comfortable space for everyone to gather, laugh, and unwind. The lake view was stunning. The kitchen had everything we needed for shared meals, and the cozy living areas made it easy to just relax and enjoy each other’s company. It's Outstanding

This was our second time to stay. The pictures are a great representation of the house. It makes you feel like you are home. We are older and don't even make use of all the amenities, but we love it.From the time you arrive until the time you arrive until the time you leave, there is always something to do. There is a game room, a dock for fishing, a fire pit for making smores or roasting hotdogs, a game room, and board games in case it rains or gets too hot outside. And this is the short list. We are already planning our next trip.

Amazing experience

Our daughter got married nearby and we rented this home for our family coming in from 3 different states. It was perfect for us and so beautiful. The back yard looks like a park, so nice and green with big trees, a fire pit, and a dock with kayaks. We brought our boat and enjoyed going to Stumpy’s at the marina for dinner and the sunsets on the boat ride back. The house was very clean and updated nicely. Definitely the nicest place we have ever rented. Communication was also excellent. We will definitely be back!

This property was our dream vacation. My family, kids and gran kids, had a wonderful time at the “Shorhaus”. We love boating, fishing and just relaxing. This place had it all. It was comfortable for all and close enough for Granbury activities in town. Well be back!

House and stay was great. Host was very responsive to all questions before and during stay. Host let us know on arrival the coffee maker was broke and a new one was delivered that afternoon. Kids loved the lily pad and kayaks. Cove was great for swimming even with a lot of boats on the water Saturday and Sunday. Would definitely stay there again.
