In Fredensborg, about 15 km from Helsingør, is the royal family's summer palace, Fredensborg Castle. In Hillerød, about 25 km from Helsingør is the beautiful Frederiksborg Castle. After a 45-minute train ride, you will find yourself in the middle of Copenhagen, with everything your heart desires in terms of activities and entertainment.
