Beautiful Cabin by the Lake Nestled in Sabine National Forest for a Romantic Retreat in Hemphill, Texas

Sit back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Sip coffee on the covered porch and take in the beautiful sunrise on your lakefront view surrounded by Sabine National Forest. Keep an eye out for Bald Eagles, and an Osprey nest atop a 20-foot-high tree stump just a quarter mile from shore. Explore nearby coves from our kayaks, jump in the lake from our swimming platform, fish from our piers, or lounge by the campfire. The cabin is inside a campground located on Toledo Bend Lake, one of the premier bass fishing lakes in the country, and we have the best crappie fishing on the lake right below our marina, just steps away. Guests have full access to the cabin, boat ramp, swimming platform, fishing under the covered boat house, fish cleaning station, and waterfront pavilion. Guests may reserve a boat slip ($15/day). Please message host for availability of boat slip before booking. Kayaks available to rent in the campground store.

We have staff available to answer any questions as we do not live on site.  The manager's phone number is listed in the guest book provided on the kitchen counter.



The campground store hours vary by season and sell beer, bait, ice, grocery items, gas (including non-ethanol), ice, firewood, picnic items, and much more.



This cabin is located inside a campground, which was built in 1968 with the creation of Toledo Bend Lake. The campground has pull-through RV spaces, cabins, and houses. Many of our guests have long-term "camps" in the campground; some reside in the campground year-round, while others are winter snowbirds. The campground is very quiet and peaceful with friendly neighbors.



There is parking available for a boat and truck and additional parking is available across the road in the field.



The campground and cabin are perfectly situated for a great fishing trip, a day on the lake, or total relaxation taking the amazing lake views in the clean country air. You can catch your limit of Crappie right under our boathouse or visit the famous gator hole only 2 miles away by boat where you just might catch a trophy bass. We are 3 miles to the main lake and 6 miles to Cypress Bend by boat. Sam Rayburn Lake is about 30 miles by car.
