Nestled in the charming town of Highlands, NC, this fully renovated mountain home is perfectly located in a peaceful mountain neighborhood. The home has ample privacy yet is close to beautiful streets for casual strolls and has all the conveniences of Highlands and Cashiers close by. Creekwood Cottage is the perfect place to rest and unwind. The highlight of this house is the stunning screened porch. Relax while listening to the soothing sounds of the creek flowing at the back of the property. With a large, cedar-beamed vaulted ceiling, a mountain stone gas fireplace, outdoor flat screen TV, and an attached grilling deck with a gas grill, this porch is the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the peaceful North Carolina mountains.

Situated on a large, private lot with a detached carport and ample level parking, this home offers a tranquil setting surrounded by beautiful trees and rhododendrons. The beautiful pond with moss-covered banks and a picturesque brook running through the property adds to the charm of this mountain retreat.

Inside, the house boasts a luxurious first-floor primary suite with a King bed and ensuite private bath, as well as a stunning vaulted ceiling living room with a floor-to-ceiling bookcase and a large stacked stone fireplace. The second floor features a Queen bedroom suite with a private bath, a loft with plush built-in bunk beds (Double, Twin) that sleep three, and a premium fully equipped kitchen with new stainless appliances and quartz countertops. The house is beautifully furnished with luxury bedding, lovely artwork, antiques personally selected by the owners, and gorgeous antique rugs.

This property also includes amenities such as a washer/dryer, central AC, two gas fireplaces, internet, patio, and more to ensure a comfortable stay for you and your family. Everything was great. House exceeded expectations, very clean, well located, cozy and comfortable bed. The gas fireplaces were a bonus on a cold winter day. There was absolutely nothing we needed except an umbrella the day we left!

It exceeded my expectations! This sweet cabin was well appointed with every essentials you would need for a wonderful stay. We spent most of our time in the charming screened patio reading and enjoying the cozy fireplace. The location was perfect a quick 10 mins to downtown Highlands!

Perfect way to kick off fall

The house is full stocked, great layout and beautifully furnished. From the high end mattresses to the linens, a comfort plus stay. An easy 10 minutes to downtown Highlands. My girlfriends and I celebrated turning 40 this year. The screened in porch with the gas fireplace was the perfect place to hangout.

Quiet Retreat

This is a lovely cottage. It is immaculately maintained and very private despite being in a neighborhood. I believe this is a new rental so it was missing a couple of trash cans in the bathrooms and there were no trash bags for putting your garbage into. Aside from that minor inconvenience the location and ambiance of the cabin were tops.

Perfect Highlands stay

We loved everything about this home. Our third time to Highlands and our favorite stay so far. I kept forgetting I was at a rental, because it was over the top comfortable, clean and instantly felt like home. We loved the beautiful antiques, plush bedding, oriental rugs and little accents that made it feel quintessentially Highlands. The outdoor fireplace is easy to use and fun to relax by, the kitchen is well stocked and easy to use as well. Beds are so comfortable and the house is very quiet. A short drive to Highlands or Cashiers and we enjoyed spending time in both! We will be back to this lovely home!

Perfect Highlands Cottage

We absolutely loved our stay at the Staghorn (and even tried to stay another night but it was booked). The location is perfect right between Highlands and Cashiers. The accommodations could not have been more perfect. Extremely comfortable beds, everything you need for a getaway so that you can enjoy the area and cook a family meal at home. We were so happy there was a pack-n-play (bring your own sheets) for our 19 month old. We also brought a small baby gate for the stairs. The back porch was magical as we relaxed from the day. This will be a regular place for us!
