I decided to give them some commons in the hotel because I think they should improve and give more attention to their staff. I am not sure anyone has encountered the same problems. The first night, the staff came to set up our sofa bed. She dropped off 2 extra towels for us. Before I even touched the towel, I saw hair on top. I really would like to call her back, but decided not to. I thought about it, maybe normal, I just not use that towel and put it into the closet.
On the 3rd night of my stay, I found another hair on the towel again. Then I was extremely dissatisfied. I paid for the room price and chose this hotel because it says 5-star hotel and new. I expected a higher standard for hygiene. I found that it was a little disgusting to kept having hair on the towel. This was disappointing for the hotel. I stayed in 6 hotels over the 17 night trips. Hopewell was my last stay in HK. There were no issue for my previous 5 hotels.
The hotel front desk had many staff members on duty and very nice people. I stayed 3 nights and paid an extra person and a sofa bed. Normally, the hotel will set the sofa bed prior to check-in or immediately when the customer checks in if they haven't done so. I waited 15 mins in the room after getting the room card, then I told them I would go out and not to come into the room. When I went back, I told them to send someone to set up the sofa bed, waited 30 mins. The hotel lacks room service staff and a hair net is highly recommended.
