This is the second Moxy hotel I’ve stayed in and loved both visits. There’s definitely a vibe here. Definitely recommend.

Great staff, super easy to use valet and was super quick to check in. Was our first time in Houston, there are a lot of clubs and bars next to the Hotel and we could hear all the music thru all the walls all night. Lots of homeless people around as well. Some of them were kind of aggressive. Area outside of the property also smelled like piss. 4/5 because the factors that were in control by the property were pretty good its just the things out of their control that make it kind of sketchy.

Better options exist

You may be better staying at another location or hotel. Stay here if you like really loud music, both outside and in the lobby. $37 parking that does not work, requiring you to pay an additional $50 "I lost my ticket" fee. Being accosted on the way in and out of the doors by aggressive requests for financial support. The room itself was on the small side, and the bathroom door tended to slide open on its own. On the plus side, I think we saved a few bucks over the Embassy Suites. I love the Moxy in Austin, but I would not recommend this one.

My room faces soho garden, im on the 6th floor , i generally like club style music but the music is so damn loud incant even catch a nap since 7pm . Im currently writing this at 9:33pm and the music has gotten louder. Definitely found this room to be pointless needed it for some sleep before my early flight , definitely not happening.

First time staying at a Moxy hotel. Had an amazing experience very clean, and the vibe was trendy. They have lots of things going on. It was quiet, but still fun. I love that it’s walking distance to all of the nightlife. They treated us like Vip and it was such a great experience. Will definitely stay again.

Party Central Hotel

Well first of all there was construction going on right in front of our hotel so when we got there I couldn’t park in the front and unload. I had to park across a parking lot just to get down and check in. Once checked in we did the parking garage which is around the block.Total for the entire weekend spent $65. There is some discount code/QR that the hotel uses for parking garage but they told us about this too late. We had to walk with all our luggage back to hotel. This was a huge inconvenience.I booked a city view room and they gave us 2nd floor, not over looking the entire city. We had the pleasure of hearing the metro bus and all the club music and noise all night till 2am. So we didn’t get a good nights rest at all. I will say the hotel is beautiful, the bar area and hangout is nice. They have cool areas to take photos, have a drink, and play board games. We attended the Astros game and we walked it, a good 12-13min walk. If you’re looking for party vibes this is definitely the hotel to stay at. It doesn’t have all the amenities in the room like fridge or microwave, we took our own ice chest and went downstairs by bar to heat our food up. Not sure if they sell food or not but they didn’t tell us about that, when we would call the front office no one would answer. We had to walk downstairs to get extra toilet paper and trash bag to clean the room. They also didn’t allow a late check out, only needed till noon. They said no need to be a Marriott member.

Cool, ecclectic place to stay Downtown

We love this place. My wife and I live in the Houston suburbs (only 30 minutes away), but we sometimes plan overnight stays in town for fun. This is one of our favorite places to stay. It's a charming hotel that's close to lots of bars and restaurants (and in walking distance of the baseball stadium), and has a price point that makes a casual "staycation" very affordable. Outstanding service by the front desk staff. The lobby is a place to hang out as well, so make sure to spend some time enjoying your complementary cocktail and visiting with the bartender/concierge. I will caution that parking is valet only. There's not really any space to pull in with your card and unload - you have to stop and block traffic on Main St. (albeit a part of Main St. that usually does not have a lot of vehicular traffic) and let your valet take the car. It's not ideal...but it's not much different from other Downtown city hotels. Helps to know that in advance, though

We chose this place out of a lot of different options. To sum it up, it was pretty noisy but they have white noise machines that mostly help, but not everything- like the trolley horns. The room was very clean but very small if you're getting a room with only a queen bed. We received a welcome drink at check in which was pretty unique and cool. The service made the whole experience a lot better; they even refrigerated our leftovers since we didn't have a fridge in our room!The third-party Valet service is another thing though. We had a reservation at 6pm at a steakhouse nearby, so we texted the number to have them get our car. We proceeded to walk down shortly after and stand next to them waiting for our car. About 15 minutes ago by and still nothing, so I went up to them and asked what was going on and they hadn't even received our text, making us late to our dinner reservation. I would be more upset if I had to pay to move my reservation or if it was a weekend and they had no other times available, but that did not happen thankfully. What I am upset about is that it was $50 for this valet service, to which I'm hoping to get a refund or discount for. Anyways, it was a nice stay, I just wish circumstances had gone better with the valet.
