This was the nastiest, unclean and unkept hotel I’ve ever stayed in. There were obvious food smears everywhere, all over the window coverings, lampshades, walls doors, floors. It’s still running 90 degrees outside and the pool was closed although they didn’t let us know that at check in, we found out after trying to enter the pool area. I’m glad it was because the maintenance hasn’t been kept up on it, either. Gaping holes around the perimeter inside the pool. There were crumbs all over the floors of our room as well as sticky splatters nearly every surface I noticed inside and outside our room, as well as smelling weird my allergies have been going crazy since. I have gone back to the reviews several times making sure I didn’t get it mixed up with another I might’ve been looking at to book because there’s no way this should be rated a 9. It doesn’t look like it has been worthy of a 9 for 20 years, at least. I couldn’t even force myself to shower there due to the mold and buckling tile floor in the bathroom. If I could give this hotel a negative number I would, it deserves it.

Overall, clean; but some foul odors were in the lobby area, in proximity to the hallway, The desk representative was doing her best to take care of the smell by spraying an odor neutralizer. I overheard a guest who was staying in one of the rooms, complaining of a foul odor in her room: she thought it was from the carpet. My room was fine: it had vinyl flooring. I think the process has begun to rip out the carpet from the rooms and replace with vinyl flooring. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel provided great shuttle service and breakfast was great with a variety of items served; including fruits.
