The space:

The cabin is ideal for 2-4 guests, and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Located at an elevation of 10,3000 feet, this is a true mountain getaway!

Area and neighborhood:

Guests are welcome to access two private mountain lakes, within walking distance from the cabin. The St. Mary’s Glacier trailhead is also just a short walk away - One of Colorado’s most popular hikes that leads to a beautiful mountain lake and the glacier itself that you can walk on!

This neighborhood is perfectly positioned for adventure. We’re just 30 miles from Loveland Ski Area and within an hour's drive to Keystone, Breckenridge, and Winter Park. Downtown Idaho Springs is just 10 miles away, where you can explore local shops, restaurants and the famous Indian Hot Springs. For live music, Red Rocks Amphitheater is 30 miles away. The Central City Casino District is within 20 miles. We are also conveniently located an hour from downtown Denver and off I-70 for easy access from Denver International Airport.

Working from home:

The cabin is equipped with Starlink internet, ideal for remote work (Wifi speeds often exceed 250+ Mbps). You can stream 4k videos, download large files and join video calls on multiple devices. Set up your workspace on the large dining room table or utilize the two desks found in the loft or front of the cabin.

Cabin details:

Sleeping - We have 1 loft-style bedroom with an ultra-comfortable queen-sized bed, a cozy quilt and of course - plenty of extra pillows and blankets! The loft also features a full-sized futon with high-quality memory foam that is comfortable for sleeping. The main floor has cozy twin bunk beds, making the cabin flexible for different sleeping arrangements. **IMPORTANT: Your must be able to manage a steep spiral staircase to access the loft.

Kitchen - The kitchen is equipped with modern stainless steel appliances and includes all essentials such as dishes, pots, pans, baking sheets, and silverware. Basic cooking ingredients like spices, salt and pepper, and olive oil are also provided. A fully stocked Keurig coffee machine, drip coffee maker, and tea kettle are available for your use. The space is anchored by an oversized dining table, perfect for enjoying a cozy meal.

Living room - The cabin’s open-concept design features vaulted ceilings, allowing natural light to fill the space. You’ll find a 47" HDTV equipped with Fire TV for streaming and a Nintendo Switch for gaming. There is also an electric indoor fireplace which adds a toasty touch. Whether you're curled up with a book, challenging someone to a game, or relaxing with a film, this living room is the heart of your mountain getaway.

Outside deck - The spacious back deck is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind after a day of adventure. It’s furnished with comfortable Adirondack chairs and a fire pit, ready for roasting marshmallows under the night stars. The backyard offers privacy and amazing views of the surrounding evergreen trees and mountains.

Bathroom - We have 1 bathroom that is well-appointed with all the essentials needed for a comfortable stay, including fresh towels, toilet paper, and toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

** Please remember, this cabin is in a remote mountain area and is susceptible to inclement weather. 4-wheel drive vehicles with winter tires are strongly recommended from November to May.

Guest access:

Guests have access to the entire cabin and property, including a spacious outdoor area ideal for soaking in the mountain air and star-gazing. Guests will also have access to 2 private mountain lakes, Silver Lake and Lake Quivira.

Other things to note:

WINTER SNOW SEASON - During the winter snow season, St. Mary’s Glacier area can see very large snow accumulation. AWD/4WD vehicles are strongly recommended from November to April. If it snows during your stay, we have a plow service to clear the roads and a shoveling service to clear pathways to the cabin. ** We can not offer refunds for any of these conditions.

PARKING - The property includes a dirt pull-in driveway suitable for one car. Additional parking is available along the street on both sides of the house.

EXTENDED STAYS - The cabin is perfect for longer stays, as it’s conveniently located within 10 miles of downtown Idaho Springs. Nearby conveniences include a Safeway grocery store, Starbucks and a recreation center. The center offers daily passes for $11 or monthly for $72. It features a gym, 25-yard pool, sauna, basketball courts and more.

CHILD PROOFING - Guests understand that no special efforts have been made to “childproof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any children/infants accompanying them.

PET PROOFING - Guest understands that no special efforts have been made to “pet proof” this house, and accept the risk or harm to any pets accompanying them.
