The room was spotless, shower good and a large room, stayed in 227. No view. If you cant manage steps, make sure you ask for a room that has no steps to it. Breakfast was fantastic, very freshly cooked, so a little wait, but worth it. The hotel, is totally accessible by car but if walking a steep climb out of ilkley to the hotel from centre of ilkley. Taxi is £5 one way. Hotel a little tired in decor but comfortable. Please remove the dead hanging baskets out front, it doesnt do the hotel any favours on initial appearance.

Hi - i stay quite a lot (almost weekly) and this was the first stay where the room provided caused be to not have a restful stay. I was allocated room 114 and there seems to be an air conditioning unit or generator on the roof space just outside the room window which is very loud. It did stop for most of the night but started up again very early.

The rooms were large and spotlessly clean, as were the spacious toilet/shower rooms. The included shower and shampoos smelled divine! The bed was very spacious and comfortable and I had a really good night’s sleep. The breakfast was exceptionally good, as was the service in the dining room.

The staff at this hotel are amazing, so friendly and helpful and really make the stay memorable. We have stayed two years in a row and many of the staff are the same so to me that says something. Unfortunately there were some school parties both evenings. I believed I had requested a quite room, so was disappointed to be put right above the hotel reception entrance where all the kids were sitting outside until the early hours of the morning. The kids (probably aged 16-18) were also all congregating in the entrance and literally making it impossible to even climb the stairs to the rooms. Apart from that the room was fine, the staff also fine. It is convenient as a hotel.

Room spotless and big bed. Warm with added oil heater was nice The bar area appeared a bit neutrals. No atmosphere Not very warm and smelt of fish. Which I don’t like! But I would return as very reasonable price and very good breakfast I would prefer it be a bit hotter for taste.
