Wins: - Location: You are directly on the ocean, with a great view and an awesome spot to enjoy the ocean breeze. You are within walking distance of El Centro and our personal favorite, the Malecon (walking path on the east side of the island). - Staff: All staff were great. - Breakfast: We paid to have breakfast included. It was enjoyable each morning with an option to have a little variety. They do have a $40 pesos per person charge for your server, even after you pay for breakfast to be included. - Room: The room was nice and clean. The rooms are very large, which is nice, but they could benefit from having a small kitchenette with a microwave. Opportunities: - Noise: As others have shared, noise can be a factor from other rooms. For two nights of our stay, the guests next to us set an alarm for 5:00 am and we heard the buzzing of their phone go off for 10 minutes each time, before the alarm would time itself out. Not the ideal way to wake up each morning on a relaxing vacation. - Seating on the balcony: Two chairs were available on our balcony, but they weren't particularly comfortable for long sittings. The balconies would benefit from adding a small table so you could eat, play cards, etc. and two loungers to lean back, nap, and enjoy the ocean sounds. The four loungers by the pool, fill up quickly and people tend to camp at them for the day. - Flood Light at Parador Fotográfico was extremely bright and points direct at the hotel. Bring an eye mask.

Comfortable bed. Smart TV. Service was outstanding from coffee in the morning at the restaurant and asking for extras from housekeeping. Every employee we encountered was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Check in was quick and we were escorted to the room. Highly recommend the ocean view which was just "WOW". AC worked well and we even had a ceiling fan. LOCATION is THE BEST for the price! I highly recommend this hotel.

AC temp was great, we had a partial view which was beautiful. Room was large but sparse decor and furnishings made it a far from cozy. Staff was lovely. An espresso machine in room may be fine for some but we had to go downstairs for a regular coffee and they were unable to make change for a 20.00 bill which was surprising. Also coffee was expensive and we had to bring our own cups down to fill. Other than that I would highly recommend The Mint. Pools were small but lovely. View amazing, beach lovely but not swimmable. Short walk to shops and lovely, swimmable beach.

When we initially walked toward the building, the side entrance leading towards the mural threw us off. Mainly curb appeal but, you'll forget all about it when you get to the main entrance. The lobby and hallways are spotless and smell clean. The beach view from our room was amazing. The staff was fantastic. Loved Vanessa, Angel and Carmen. The bar area had awesome drinks. We noticed that the room sheets and bed cover were not clean but, the front desk was extremely attentive to anything needed. If you are accustomed to wash cloths, please note that this hotel does not offer them. No biggie. Water pressure wasn't the best and we were on level 2. Overall stay is still 5 stars and we will choose this hotel again.

The location was so amazing. The pool overlooks the ocean, and you are steps to all the shops and restaurants. We stayed with a larger group and all had different rooms. The rooms were spacious and clean. We will definitely stay here again.

Pros: Room was in good condition, spacious and clean. Window AC will blow directly on you. Bathroom is very dark made hard for getting ready and the shower was very open so water got everywhere, they provide minimal towels. 1 per person and a floor mat so that was not convenient. It’s a decent hotel for the price but they really skimp everywhere they can. Restaurant was probably 1.5 stars for food and 5 for seating and views.

This hotel is a hidden gem. We stayed 3 nights. Our room was spotless! The staff was super friendly. The bar/restaurant team had amazing service and drinks. There was always someone at the front desk ready to answer a question day or night. You can't beat the ocean front view for the price! I will stay here again.
