Great location, walkable to everything Centro, right along the malacon walking path. Recently upgraded and still in process it appears actually. The luxury room upgrade to be on the 4th floor with a beautiful private terrace was worth it! Listening to waves while typing drift off to sleep is magical.The restaurant/bar on the property is nice with also gorgeous views. They provide a cute little espresso machine in your room that you can actually buy more pods for at the local grocery which we did. A few little things that were a bummer was the hot water situation. Some days it took over 30 min of running the water for it to get hot, sometimes it never did. Not reliable at all. Once it does get hot it's scalding and when you would adjust the temp it could take another 30 min to reflect your adjustment. We had a nice rain shower water head but the water trickles out of it, very hard to wash long/thick hair. I washed my hair only once during my stay because of it. No full length mirror in the room, actually only mirror in the entire room is in the bathroom. The ceiling fan is wired wrong and only works with a light on in the room which is annoying you like to sleep with a fan, which I do. They also have a sensor on the light right when you walk in which is great but also picks up movement to the bathroom in the evenings when everyone else might be asleep and it's blinding bright, not soft and low. Overall would highly recommend and would book again!

We were so happy we were able to upgrade to an oceanfront view. Watching the sunrise every morning was a highlight walk to everything right food & bar Downstairs or down the street so many options. Right on the beautiful Malcon walkable to everything beautiful views. Nice staff and lovely patio areas to sit out on as well.

I really liked the hotel. One thing you need to know is the rooms are cold and they only have ONE sheet for you. I had to ask several times for another sheet. There is one man at the front desk if you ask for anything he gets an attitude. The young woman is amazing!!

Best Located Hotel on Isla

I stayed at this hotel in 2020 under different ownership and loved it then. I thoroughly enjoyed this stay, even more so than I did five years ago. The staff were all amazing! The hotel manager(s) were beyond helpful and understanding and were always ready to answer questions or lend a hand no matter the inquiry. The bar and restaurant staff, the front desk staff and the house keeping staff were super friendly and were all very attentive and they were also all so very friendly. I love the location of this hotel and it’s in close proximity to everything you may like to access with walking distances to bars, restaurants, the beach and the super market. I prefer staying on this side of the downtown because when you look out over the ocean, you aren’t looking at Cancun. You’re able to stare out into the beautiful turquoise waters and not be distracted by the over development on the main land. Having read some of the limited reviews that have been posted about the Mint since opening, I think it’s important to comment on the repeated comments regarding the fact that there are no blanket on the beds. While this is true, I would suggest turning the air conditioning down or simply requesting a second sheet. Nothing more is needed and it’s important to remember that the temperatures in Mexico are blazing hot to begin with. This hotel exceeds all expectations, it’s absolutely wonderful on every level and I loved everything about it. The staff all deserve raises!

Amazing property, the staff was great! We have been going to isla for over 20 years this is easily one of the nicest hotels with very convenient location. The pool over looking the water is too notch as well as the wait staff at the bar/resturant. Food was great and at first beer wasn’t cold but they made the changes ice buckets with beer!!!

Prime Location

We’ve been visiting Isla Mujeres since 2018 staying at different places. This is the first time hearing about The Mint and absolutely loved our stay. The staff is courteous and on top of everything. The weight staff at the barn restaurant or top-notch. The pool and dipping pool is very relaxing and a great place to sit to watch the sunrise! It is walking distance from everything downtown Isla. The rooms are very spacious and the balconies are very large. The bathroom is very large a nice big walk-in shower. The ambience of this resort is amazing. They work hard to make sure we enjoyed our time, which we did! We will definitely be back!

Overall the experience was favorable. Of our two rooms, one did not have hot water for two days despite the hotel’s efforts to fix it. The hotel upgraded us to nicer rooms which did have hot water, for which we were thankful.

This property is a great location! Walking distance to downtown and beaches! The rooms are affordable spacious and clean. Property needs some updates. Elevator doesn’t work! Nice balconies with ocean view but no furniture to sit out there and enjoy.

Fantastic!

The Mint resort is right on the Carribean . The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The first floor rooms have kitchenettes. We have booked again for a month next year
