Welcome to Uncommon Accommodations, a boutique collection of designer tiny houses and unique stays on a private 14-acre riverfront retreat in Vermont’s Green Mountains near Stowe and Smugglers’ Notch. This riverside luxury tiny house offers a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, with spa-style amenities including a year-round outdoor hot tub and an elevated treehouse barrel sauna overlooking the forest and river.

Guests enjoy more than 2,000 feet of private frontage on the Lamoille River, with multiple swimming holes, river beaches, and private access to a scenic waterfall. The setting feels secluded and immersive, yet you are minutes from restaurants, breweries, skiing, hiking, and the best outdoor recreation in northern Vermont.

The Riverside tiny house is thoughtfully designed for comfort and style. It includes a full kitchen, modern bathroom, living area with a large television, loft bedroom, and a private deck overlooking the river and mountains. High-speed Starlink WiFi provides fast, reliable internet, and cell service from Verizon and AT&T is strong throughout the property. Large windows bring in natural light and frame the surrounding landscape, creating a calm, modern retreat ideal for relaxing after a day outdoors.

The shared spa amenities are a highlight of the experience. Soak under the stars in the outdoor hot tub or unwind in the treehouse barrel sauna after skiing or hiking. Both are open year-round and professionally maintained. Guests also have access to riverfront walking areas, campfire spaces, and EV charging stations.

The location is ideal for exploring Vermont. Historic Johnson village is five minutes away for dining and essentials. Stowe Mountain Resort is about 30 minutes away, Smugglers’ Notch Resort is about 20 minutes away, and Jay Peak Resort is under an hour. The nearby Lamoille Valley Rail Trail offers excellent biking, walking, and snowmobiling. The area is known for craft breweries, farm stands, maple sugar shacks, fall foliage, and four-season outdoor adventure.

Parking is available directly at the unit, with additional parking and EV charging in the upper lot. From your door you can walk to the river beach or explore trails on the property to discover swimming holes and the on-site waterfall.

The hot tub and treehouse sauna are shared amenities with other guests staying at Uncommon Accommodations. The property includes several unique rentals, creating a quiet boutique retreat atmosphere while preserving privacy and space. Tyler was an excellent host, very responsive and gave some great recs! The tiny home is in a private, quiet area with a beautiful view. It was perfect for a long weekend trip for 2 people. It’s close to Stowe (about a 20 minute drive) and you get some amazing views of the mountains on the way there. Hot tub was a huge plus!

Just stop looking! This is the place to be. Tyler’s entire business of Uncommon Accomodations is amazing. It’s not far from Stowe, Smugglers Notch, the town of Johnson is super cute. You can tell he put a lot of time and pride into these tiny homes and where they are located is just beautiful. It’s a great way to experience Vermont. Our stay was very comfortable for the fall foliage, we definitely want to come back during ski season.

The stay was just right for us. Although the collection of cabins seemed quite booked up it was peaceful and relaxing with private, quiet space for everyone. The loft does not have much clearance, but we are short and likened it to not having standing room in a tent. The listing said oven, but it is a microwave oven (no convection), there are 2 burners that worked well and we used the gas bbq grill.Convenient location still a quick drive to Stowe and other towns. Host communication was great and everything worked nicely for us!

The cabin and property was magical!The description of the property gave us the impression that you could walk on a trail from the property to Dog Head Falls, which was not the case. It is less than a 10 minute drive, and totally worth it, but we were a little disappointed we could not walk there from the property.

Lovely modern tiny house tucked close to a pristine river, not far from lots of scenic hiking trails, restaurants, breweries, and shopping. We stayed a week and loved it.

Uncommon Accommodations

Tyler was helpful and the little house was nice. Be aware that the hot tub is SHARED, the deck for unit 2 is the only deck not accessible directly from the house and the advertised fireplace is disconnected except in the winter/snow. It was 36° and rainy when we stayed and we couldn’t warm the place with the fireplace. Tyler said the heater should be enough, it was not. Although the house was nice it appeared to be poorly constructed with large gaps around the outlets and wires showing. The on demand hot water required frequent, extended periods of ice cold water in between the bursts of hot water. I’ve never used an on demand hot water system so this may be typical. Overall it’s fine for a private place to stay, just not exceptional.
