Don’t stay here!!! I booked a king room and they didn’t have any clean when we arrived at 8:00pm and said that if they could get someone to come clean the rooms, that they would move me. The floor was sticky and dirty, both carpet and tile. The walls were gross. It was supposed to be $191 total and they have charged my credit card for $520, so far. They claimed that the charges are made by hotels.com and that I would not understand. They said we can only get one key because they didn’t have very many. There are several people who appear to be living there with cats and a very large dog was aggressive and barked at us when we walked out the front door because he was “startled”. They would not give a receipt as they claim that they are paperless. Our room was at the end of a long hall with a door at the end that would not open. The middle of the hallway also had a door that was broken and taped (not working) which should be a safety issue! They told hotels.com that we had to pay for 2 nights whether we stay or not and we definitely checked out after the first night. Over half of the charges to our card were added after we checked out. I cannot believe hotels.com represents such a disgusting place.

Our first room was still dirty. Moved us to a second room which was better but didn’t have a king bed. No hot water, building was hot. Keycard wouldn’t work, had to have it reset twice. Would not stay here again.

Quality Inn and Suites in Carthage MO is a No Stay

A/c in the room worked well, but the lobby and halls did not and were hot. Fridge needed defrosting, toilet was child height and difficult for seniors to use. Tissue dispenser was empty, breakfast area was non functional, smoking area was right next to entrance so you have to endure the stink when unloading. Large SUV was parked in front of entrance during the three days we were there probably because it was the only shaded area. Door card had to be reprogrammed the last day. People at the desk were nice and pleasant. Beds slept well but were quite high and a little hard to get into. TV worked well but chair was worn and uncomfortable. Overall for the price paid we were disappointed and will not be staying there again.

Great weekend

Room was clean and smelled good. No bugs. Breakfast is good if you get up at 6, door is locked by 9. Hot shower. Lobby and hallways were hot. Air conditioner in room needed charged but my wife won't let me make it blow ice cold anyhow.

Nice to get off the truck for the weekend

Room was clean. upstairs hallway was hot but the air conditioner in the room was working good. Breakfast is good if you get up at 6, but the door is locked by 9.

I have never experienced anything like my stay in Carthage, MO. For some reason Expedia had my reservation for the week before, my paperwork showed the 24th check-in. Not one guest that I talked to had anything good to say about their stay. Breakfast was the worst I have ever had. Staff didn't show up till 6:00 and breakfast was suppose to be ready at 6:00. I will never go through Expedia again for any of my bookings.

This was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The only nice thing about it was the super sweet night clerk. The pool was closed, there was no hot water, they were so short on key cards that they could only issue 1 per room and in our case, we got 1 key for the first room and our second room had to be opened with the master key, though they later found one and brought it to us, the bedding on one of the queens was dirty, breakfast for the entire hotel consisted of 4 bagels, 3 slices of bread, cereal with no milk, and coffee that left half an inch of grounds in our cups, our keys quit working each time we left our rooms, the carpets were strained and worn through in many places. The guy who claimed to be the manager at one point blamed us and said it's an old hotel with old keys, claiming we were demagnetizing them by putting the cards near our phones. After that, we kept our phones and cards separate, but the keys continued to fail. We were blamed for the lack of hot water, supposed management said we didn't allow the water to run long enough. We tried running the water longer, but it still didn't work. Staff said I had been informed at check-in that there was no breakfast, but I don't remember that. The guy claiming to be manager tried bargaining with us to give him a good review (at least 4 or 5 stars) and he would give us a 50% discount on additional nights during this stay. I couldn't do that. There is more to say, but I'm out of characters.

Hot water tank broke so there was no hot water, filthy, bugs, I was given a roll of toilet paper upon check in and had to take it to my own room, unkept sheets with stains on a pillow and on a bed comforter, dust and cobweb dirt behind tv stand, picture do NOT represent the pictures on advertisement, Sheetrock was all over the floor in entrance and hallways, the door outside was unlocked so anyone could open it without carrying keycard. The isrealian that was working the desk was nice and answered questions and offered me a cancellation but I had booked through 3rd party that didn’t allow refunds so I was charged regardless. Stay clear and keep driving!
