This was the WORST vacation rental I have ever been to. My dog was poisoned after ingesting THC in the yard 3 hours into our stay. A midnight trip to the ER (1.5 hours away) with my daughter hysterical because she thought her dog was dead. He was urinating on himself and unresponsive. He tested positive for THC on a urine drug screen at the ER. The following morning we walked the yard and found more THC products, beer cans in bushes, feces and broken glass on the ground. I contacted the host regarding toxins and he was unconcerned. Said only the inside of the house need be safe and that it wasn’t his problem. Not only would he not be reimbursing me for my veterinary bills but he would not refund the stay, despite leaving midway through the stay when VRBO failed to find us alternate accommodations. To add insult to injury, the host sent a generic email to make sure the house was adequately stocked with supplies. The house had NO cleaning products aside from hand soap and ONE roll of paper towels. My dog was dribbling urine for 12 hours and we had 1 roll of paper towels to use. The owner/host said the lack of cleaning supplies was normal. He did not care that the fenced yard had trash, feces, broken glass and THC on the ground, he said things blow into yard. Avoid this rental and host. A host that brags online regarding 50 million in rental assets and only cares about money.
