Lovely view

Owners were very nice and our one-bedroom suite was lovely. We enjoyed the view and the spacious feel. The complimentary laundry facilities were also much appreciated.

2nd time staying here and, once again, had a fabulous stay. Conveniently located very close to the town centre and directly across the road from the beach. Such a stunning location. Very clean, large rooms with all the amenities you need. Would highly recommend.

Lovely beachside motel

We appreciated the easy check in and the room had was lovely. It felt like it had been recently renovated so everything was clean and modern. Comfy big bed, free parking and walkable to town. As far as motels go this was a pretty good one.

Ideally situated

Stayed in unit 10 which was very clean, well equipped and large with separate bedroom at the front right opposite the beach. Ideally located in a quieter part of the Esplanade but only one minute to walk to a good restaurant (Hiku) and an excellent breakfast at Dolphin Encounter cafe.

The property was very basic. An old style motel from years gone past which has been painted well but honestly very basic. Keys to the room came from the 70’s the window latches were loose. The outlook of each room had zero privacy, a walkway in front of your room for all the guests to have a good gawk. At $140 plus per night before GST , these property owners were just cashing in and not giving back. The reception was quite abrupt and matter of fact as they took your money prior to viewing the rooms., sorry but not good and just makes me question the whole Expedia relationship because frankly the pictures of rooms etc were very strategic.

It is an amazing little motel. Really nice owner. Sea view from unit 9 and 10 was excellent. Unit are specious. Easy walking distance to all the shops/restaurants but far enough not to be too busy. Highly recommended. For sure we will be back. Great air conditioning and great water pressure in shower. Have washing machine just out of the unit in a room for you to use

Rooms were not the most spacious. Would have booked next door at the Kaikoura Waterfront Apartments (same management) if I'd known.
