Staffs at front desk, except for one person every one of them were rude and wasnt even smiling, even for a moment during our 10 days stay. Their AC is not effective and AC unit prevents closing shades entirely which results in lots of lights into the room in the night. Worst bedding. They charge $25+ for parking/night.

Convenient hotel for restaurants and shopping.

We were staying in town one night before flying home from our 2 week Hawaiian vacation. We wanted some place walkable to restaurants and local shops and this place worked well. We enjoyed the pool. The rooms were very cramped and it was obvious the building is a little older.

SECURITY DEPOSIT NO REFUND This place charges you $100 security deposit and does not refund you even if you did not break anything and asked for refund! $100 deposit has been on my statement for almost a month and consulted my bank only thing I can do is to wait for them to remove charge. I called the hotel and was responded in very rude manner that they did it already “automatically” when I checked out and refused to check refund status when I asked them to

Pacific 19 Kona is a nice little spot with quite a few dining and small shopping options around. The pool is small but goes quite deep which is good, and the room was spacious and chic. The only downside I could mention are too many drinks in the minibar that had to be taken out to fit out own stuff and too many flies around the swimming pool deck chairs. Overall was a very good experience though!

We initially booked a 2 double room, but noticed ‘bugs’ crawling on the floor when we were unpacking. Once notified, the front desk promptly moved us to a suite which was very nice with a privacy door to separate beds and a private patio. They had the neatest touches to these updated rooms that even included a record player! The freshest Water filling station to fill all our water bottles before venturing out and complementary coffee from 6-9. I would stay here again, just be sure to get the updated suites that are in a different building.

One receptionist is not friendly. Stayed for two nights, came back late the second night and found out that the room was not serviced (no new towels and more). Too late to complain. Parking was very difficult when I came back late. Curtail cannot completely closed because of the window AC. Even though Kona is expensive, still was disappointed at this hotel.

Great affordable option in Kona

We stayed here for just one night, didn’t use the pool or take yoga, but for the night we stayed, this hotel was great! Yes this is an old hotel that was updated and remodeled, but they did a good job and it looks nice. There are things that are still old like the room AC made a bit of noise, but our room was nicely updated and decorated and the beds were comfortable, and the shower head was new so great water pressure. Those are the important things. Free coffee in lobby but also a coffee cart outside that had yummy bagels and coffee! Definitely a great affordable option for staying in Kona.
