This is a spectacular hotel - everywhere you look, it’s beautiful. The food and the room was lovely!! The staff were not friendly or happy, with the outstanding exception of the barman - he was fun and service focused.

The staff were very welcoming. Being an older Hotel without elevators, the staff helped us with our luggage. Great location with lots of nearby restaurants, pubs, and shops. They recommended a nearby pub which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a fantastic time in Kilkenny and the hotel experience was fantastic 😊 The breakfast was delicious with a lovely dining vibe. It was great to be able to just walk downstairs for a pint and the downtown area was right outside the hotel door. Thank you!!

A hard one as to a certain extent beyond the control of the hotel, but we were allocated a third floor room (no lifts) opposite a young group that were intent in coming and going and making as much noise as possible in their room and the landing between the two rooms until after 2.30am. Check in was strange with luggage expected to be brought through bar area, restaurant and tea room to get to room. The walls are thin, with little sound insulation and the door rattled every time the group opposite opened theirs. Other than that the room was clean and well presented and had everything you would expect it to contain. We may have just been unlucky but can’t recommend based on our experience.
