Great location but bare bones

Proximity to the beach was great, but the house itself had pretty much nothing in terms of basics. We had to go out and buy more toilet paper, paper towels, aluminum foil, even salt & pepper. I have never stayed at a rental home that was so bare bones.

Property itself was fine and matched description from the online liating. The section of the beach was also wonderful. Kill Devil Hills in general is so busy along the main highway, so just beware that it’s generally unsafe to walk to shops/restaurants that are on Croatan Hwy. While the house and furniture itself were fine, there was so much dust, dirt, and sand under the furniture- honestly looked like it hadn’t been cleaned under there in years! The only reason we noticed this was because we have small children who dropped toys, etc under couches and beds. There were also clothes from previous renters left in drawers and behind pieces of furniture. Lastly, I messaged the host 2-3 times before our stay with questions and never got a response back except for an automated reply from Village Realty, something along the lines of “we received your message and will reply as soon as we can!” Would stay here again if the house was more clean upon arrival, but would not stay under these conditions again.

Wonderful Time

This was our first trip to the OBX and I see now why so many people love it!! The house was amazing between the spaciousness and views from the balcony, Wow is all we can say!! We loved all the restaurants we went to; Two Roads Tavern, Barefoot Bernie’s, Jolly Roger’s, Arts Place, Sooeys BBQ! Fantastic food!! My twin daughters loved the beach shops so much!! We love the beach so much, We will definitely be back!!

Great property

Loved the proximity to the beach, quietness of the street. Wonderfully stocked kitchen. If we had any critique it would be for a few more chairs on the decks. 2 chairs for a house that sleeps 8-10 was a little slim. Overall it was amazing!

Great Fall getaway

We rented this house for a wedding we attended. We used to live in the Outer Banks so we wanted a house in a central location of the “northern beaches” with close access to the beach and our favorite restaurants and shops. Our group consisted of 4 adults and 4 kids. The house has amazing ocean view that we were not expecting. Two separate family room areas were great—kids had their space and adults had theirs. Hot tub was serviced while we were there and he put in fresh water for us. Place was very clean and had everything we needed. We had a great stay:)

Dirty house

On day 3 of our house we killed 2 cockroaches… Thankfully we contacted village reality and they had pest control there that day. I think the house just need a very good deep cleaning. Other than that the house was great

Nice house. Was told to go in. House had not been cleaned. Table very dirty, dirt on floors etc.

Everything was good except the house was not clean. We had to clean it ourselves after the cleaning crew came back. Someone needs to train them how to clean.

Great OBX Experience

We had never been to to OBX before (Jersey Shore Gang) and weren’t quite sure what to expect. But the house, neighborhood, and areas nearby were all really great. Plenty to do for anyone. The house was perfect for our group. Can’t say enough good things. Thanks so much!
