Sea Glass Retreat in Kill Devil Hills — Tiki Bar, Fire Pit, Fenced Yard, and the Beach in Three Minutes
Some houses are a place to sleep between beach trips. This one competes with the beach. Out back, a fenced, beautifully landscaped yard sets the evening scene: a solar-powered fire pit glowing (all the ambiance, fully compliant with KDH's open-fire ordinance), sea glass lanterns and a sea glass fountain catching the light, and horseshoes and cornhole ready for the tournament. Inside, the Tiki bar room — with its own fridge — keeps the drinks close and the theme going.
Easy Living on Three Levels
The reverse floor plan puts the living, dining, and sitting areas on the third level, where high ceilings and abundant natural light do their best work — with partial ocean views from the back deck and smart TVs for the evenings in. The well-equipped kitchen handles full family dinners. Bedrooms with cozy linens fill the lower levels, including a first-floor pyramid bunk room the kids will claim on sight and a queen master on the second level, with central air throughout and a washer and dryer for convenience.
The dry entry comes stocked with beach chairs, a boogie board, and a box of kid-friendly beach games — and the beach itself is a three-minute walk away.
In the Heart of Kill Devil Hills
Avalon Fishing Pier, Front Porch Café, and Awful Arthur's are minutes away, with The Lost Colony in Manteo an easy evening trip. Up to 2 dogs are welcome ($150 per dog plus tax) — and they'll appreciate that fenced yard as much as you do.
