My stay at the RUK wasn't the best. As a first-time guest, I was very displeased with the rooms. I was moved due to water issues and the smell of the rooms. In my third room, I was upgraded to a suite, but upon arrival, I was met once again with an unpleasant smell. I was tired! There was no other room available to change in at the time. A representative from HK came to refresh the room, and it lasted for a few days. On my second-to-last day, the smells came back. To say the least, it was not the best, especially being. HILTON.

Fantastic staff operating and working at this hotel. Gavin at the pool bar went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. An overall great stay and great food. Guest rooms and bathrooms need better lighting but outside of that everything was great.

Food and hotel were good. However, before Hurricane Melissa made landfall the storm surge was predicted to be 40 to 60 inches. The ROK is literally too close to the seas and I felt the need to leave the hotel sooner to be more inland for my safety. The ROK issued notification to all their guests that due to the impending hurricane and many flights being canceled, they said they would accommodate guests and not impose any penalties. Well, when I decided to check out a night sooner because of safety concerns due to a category 5 hurricane, the front desk staff said they still will charge me and he will talk to his manager and he will call me back. I reminded him of the letter delivered under my room door assuring guests of their commitment. It's 6 days now and still no call from the ROK. I will not stay there again because in a time of safety, they did not uphold their words.
