Astu sisÀÀn Hale Mahina Kauai oven lĂ€pi ja tunne alohaa. Suuri huone on kodin keskusta ja avautuu laajalle seulotulle lanaille ja rauhalliselle puutarhaan yksityisellĂ€ takapihalla. SekĂ€ keittiö ettĂ€ makuuhuone ovat avoinna myös Lanaille, joka tarjoaa ruokailun keittiön pÀÀssĂ€ ja keskustelutilan isĂ€nnĂ€n ulkopuolella. Kaksi alakerrassa sijaitsevaa makuuhuonetta ovat suuren huoneen vastakkaisilla puolilla. Jokaisessa makuuhuoneessa on ilmastointi ja TV, ja suuressa huoneessa on 47-tuumainen "Ă€lykĂ€s" HDTV. Sijainti, sijainti, sijainti!: Hale Mahina sijaitsee kÀtevÀsti vehreÀllÀ maisemoidulla 70 hehtaarin Poipu Kai -kohdekeskuksella, joka on omakotitalojen ja asuntojen kokoelma, joka on kÀtkeytyneenÀ pÀÀllystetyn viheradan varrella Grand Hyatt Resortin ja Poipun rantapuiston vÀlissÀ. Retkeily- tai rantapÀivÀsi lopussa voit rentoutua rauhallisella lanailla 'sateenvarjojuomalla' tai kÀvellÀ Poipun rannalle katsomaan yhtÀ etelÀrannan upeista auringonlaskuista. Se on loma. The space was well appointed and location in Poipu terrific. We had repeated difficulties with living room fans-remotes not working properly. Lighting outside was nil and no light above the front door. We replaced it with one in the garage. Our biggest issue.. honestly was louvered doors. No privacy at all
 and a louvered bathroom door off the kitchen! Yikes!! Just not appropriate for sharing a house. The upstairs bedroom which we didn’t use, was a loft, not private bedroom with doors.Host was amazingly helpful and quick to respond. Thank you Heather.

Location Location Location! So close to beaches loved we could just walk and not worry about parking. The beds were also so comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed along with the gas grill. First of all the beds were comfortable. You know how when you’re away from home your back starts to ache for your own bed after a few days. That never happened here. Even after 10 days, every morning I felt like a new person. The AC in the bedrooms was sufficient. It was nice that each bedroom had access to its own bathroom. There were plenty of towels. Having laundry in the house was very helpful. Plenty of soap and oxy clean provided. The host left a nice gift for us, which we used and enjoyed. Having the beach chairs and other items in the garage was really great. I do think the snorkel gear could use a good bit of organizing and throwing out or fixing broken items - and a thorough cleaning, but it sure was nice to have them. There really was everything you could possibly need, even for little kids which we don’t have. The furniture and amenities were nice and made our family time in the house comfortable. We cooked and ate meals together, played games at the table, enjoyed the yard, and escaped to our rooms for alone time. The walk through the neighborhood and through the greenbelt to the pool or beach was a nice easy walk and beautiful. My daughter couldn’t help but pick up fallen flowers and put them in her hair each time we took that walk. The binder with recommendations was great. Also reading other guests entries in the journal helped us locate good restaurants and other tips. Overall our stay here was a great enhancement to our beautiful family trip.

This was the ideal location for a trip to Kauai for my family of 8 (6 adults and 2 babies). 2 great beaches were in within 5-15 minutes of walking from the house. Quiet location and easy to main roads. Great shops, coffee and food nearby. Host was very accessible and gave us a kind welcome gift- which we have never received before from any host.

We booked this home for 6 adults. My 16 yr old and 1 yr grandson. The home was wonderful. Close to everything we needed. The garage has ample supply of beach chairs, wagon, umbrellas. I would love to come back and if in the area again would stay there.

Kauai Family Vacay 2025

We spent 8 days in Kauai at this very beautiful and comfortable home with plenty of room for 6 adults (3 couples), walking distance to two excellent beaches, and proximity to all the major island sites. Koloa is a cool town located very close by with good places to eat and drink. The house was stocked with excellent quality beach accessories including umbrellas, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, a surf board, coolers, a towable beach wagon, and more. The beautiful and spacious lanai with ample high quality furniture and dining tables was our headquarters for coffee in the morning, and wonderful meals of local seafood. The kitchen was very well-stocked for cooking. Heather was a completely responsive and generous host. We cannot recommend highly enough! Thank you again, Heather! We can't wait to come back!

Everything they said it would be

The property is beautiful with a wonderful screened lanai and a kitchen with everything you need. We were able to walk to many places and easily navigate to others. The host is very responsive, answering our emails within 5 minutes. Definitely a return to property.

Perfect location and amenities

The house is in the absolute perfect spot, a short walk to shipwreck beach which was never too busy. The house was great, the back lanai perfect for relaxing when it rained (or didn’t). Laundry, kitchen, grill, pool stuff was all great. Would stay here again when visiting Kaua'i!!

Home Away From Home

The perfect house for 6 of us while we vacationed throughout Kauai, but mostly around Koloa and the Poipu Beach area. We were within walking distance of multiple beaches, not to mention a bit longer of a walk to the Village shopping center. The home itself was amazing, making it difficult to leave at the end of our week there. Best of all was the open-air lanai that we used every morning and evening.

Perfect for our needs

Beautiful place to stay. All of the amenities we could have possibly needed. Great location with a fairly easy walk to pool and beaches. Only issue was a ceiling fan light in the back covered patio area that we could not get to work. We decided it was not worth it to have someone come out to deal with it although the option was given to us by the owner. We loved being able to relax out back in the lanai. If the weather would have been a little better, we would have used more of the beach “toys” available for our use. The back lawn was too wet to enjoy playing cornhole in the backyard. We would stay there again.

Fabulous Home for a Family Reunion

We absolutely loved our stay at Hale Mahina. The home is spacious and clean and in a wonderful neighborhood. So close to multiple access points of the green belt making it easy to access Shipwreck, Poipu and Brenecke Beaches! The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We had no issues whatsoever and would highly recommend this. While it does not have whole house A/C we did not find this to be a problem with great strong ceiling fans and cross breezes - enjoying the truly fresh air! Absolutely love the lanai - so wonderful for relaxing.

First trip to Kauai

House is fantastic!! Clean and comfortable with everything you need. Close to beaches, shopping, golf. Close drive to Port Allen, Waimea Canyon and Lihue Airport. Great communication with host. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Shad and Nancy M, Penalosa, Ks.

Spacious Haven

We loved our stay at Hale Mahina! The property was appropriately advertised as being a short walk to Poipu Beach, and we took advantage of that convenience, getting up before sunrise so that we could catch the honu before they returned to the sea. The house is an equally nice walk in the opposite direction from Poipu Beach to the Grand Hyatt, which has some bench swings where you can watch the waves come in. The home is clean and spacious, and has a lanai to die for - we spent most of our "chilling" time on that lanai when we weren't off sightseeing somewhere. The one thing I might say is that the cushions on the lounging furniture of the lanai easily slip down, causing some discomfort if you intend to sit for a long time. We were often propping up the support with other pillows from inside the house. The property has a primary bedroom, a second bedroom and a loft, each with an in-window A/C unit. There is no central air in the house, and this was somewhat of an issue for my friends, who wanted the house cool in every room, but a blessing for me, as I much prefer the tradewinds to AC. Several ceiling fans exist throughout the house, in each of the rooms and on the lanai, allowing for a constant breeze to circulate throughout the place. Owners Heather and Dennis were very responsive to our needs, and were very concerned that we enjoy our stay, which we did! I can't wait to come back!

Girls Trip

We had an amazing vacation on Kauai. This house was perfect for our group of 4 ladies. We spent our mornings either on the lanai or sitting on the front porch. Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have been happier. Mahalo

Perfect home base for a trip to Kauai

We really enjoyed staying here. Short (5 min) walk to the beach and pool. Plus centrally located to all the activities either on the east or west sides of the island. Also they provided beach gear including umbrellas, beach chairs, snorkeling gear, a beach wagon and rolling coolers. We have to say the lanai was a hit and much of time at the house was spent out there. We would definitely return to this house in the future.

Great place in beautiful island

Did not disappoint. Great home, everything you needed for stay including all you need for a day at the beach. Did not lack anything. Owners thought if everything, including extra towels, bath items, pantry items. Great place. Highly recommend!!

Family time

Loved the lanai for playing cards and having morning coffee. House was perfect for the whole family. We explored and enjoyed driving to different beaches. Thankyou for sharing your home.

WILL FOR SURE BE BACK!

Perfect example of home away from home! Lovely home with plenty of room for my entire family! We were even able to host a dinner with the in laws! Loved the private back yard. Having the bbq and outdoor amenities to ourselves was a triple plus!! The AC in the bedrooms helped cool it down just before bed to help get a good night sleep, beds, linens perfectly comfortable. Everything we needed for cooking was provided! Plenty of plates, cookware, utensils in good condition are provided. There wasn’t one single thing that I needed for cooking that I couldn’t find. Lots of people have left beach gear to add to what is already provided. Wagon, three beach umbrellas (we left two), fishing poles, paddle board, boogie board, beach chairs, beach towels, lots of different size snorkel masks and fins. All cleaning supplies and paper products provided. Also lots of left over condiments left from past guests (unopened) so be sure to check inventory before going shopping. I bought stuff before arriving and didn’t need to! Including plastic baggies, foil, etc. The only issue we had was a little bit of incomplete work from the cleaning service, which was immediately fixed including compensation. I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to stay. Hit the jackpot when I found this place! Also, pool area and hot tub is about 5-10 min walk (or you can drive and park at Kalapaki joes) and one of the best pool facilities in Poipu Kai area. Thank you!
