We had a fantastic 9 day stay! We like to scuba dive, and the locations nearby are great (snorkeling great too)! Joel was easy to communicate with - a great host! During down time, just hanging around the back yard with the ocean right there was amazing! Great sunsets and stargazing! We went on some great hikes in the immediate area as well… We highly recommend this property!

We love everything about Sol Patch 2. It is comfortable and well-equipped, with a great view, and so quiet and peaceful. Lisa and Joel are wonderful hosts, every question or need is taken care of quickly. If you want a completely low-key, relaxing vacation this is the place to be!

It's just a great place to spend time relaxing. A beautiful view of the ocean right out the back door with front row seats to the spectacular sunsets. The only thing that can be a downside (or plus) is it's located at the less developed side of the island, restaurants, etc. We really liked the Daniels restaurant suggested by the owner and went back a few times. There are several beaches close by to explore, we liked the two Knip beaches the best.

Friends getaway

We stayed in Sol Patch 1 and 2 with 4 adults as it was not much more for the 5 nights to have both units and would give us more privacy. We had what's app for communication but it probably would have been better to have a sim card for a faster response or when on route. It was our own fault as we did not follow the instructions properly and ended up at the gate to get in but you need a card and key to enter. Once we back tracked to meet Joel it was an easy process. Both villas were amazing and very quiet which is what we wanted. I did find Sol Patch 2 did have a better cross breeze with the two doors open. It was wonderful to have a covered deck for the shade and refreshing to use the pools to cool off. The pool at Sol Patch 2 is slightly larger as the unit has two bedrooms. Communication was great before and while at the villas. The villas are within walking distance to Playa Jeremi but it is too hot to walk so we just drove the car and were there within minutes. So many beaches within a close proximity. We were very pleased with the location to take in all the sights in that area. Definitely would recommend both villas. If you are only staying in one of them the privacy is very good between the two.

Lovely stay at Sol Patch

My family (spouse and 18 year-old daughter) stayed at Sol Patch in March 2025. We had a very lovely stay. The view of the ocean from the deck and the pool is just wonderful. It was quiet and peaceful and I'd highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle of life for a bit. A few things that might be helpful to know...check in was super simple. We just messaged the owner through What's App and he took us to the house and showed us around. The house has the basics, but not much extra. We each received one bath towel and one beach towel. If you like extra towels, you'll want to bring them along. Same with things like shampoo, paper towels, or items for the beach. There was a pool noodle and snorkeling supplies, but if you like a chair or anything I'd grab one from town before heading to the house. We stopped at the grocery store before arriving so we were pretty stocked. There's not many places to buy items once you're at the house, so if you want to avoid the 30 minute trip back to town, I'd grab things before you go. We went out for dinner most nights. The house has a great little binder with suggestions that we utilized. Many of the nearby restaurants need reservations, so if you are able to plan it advance it will be helpful. Overall, I'd highly recommend the location and if we decide to head back to Curacao we'll definitely consider staying here again!

Perfect Island Getaway – Peaceful, Beautiful, and Breezy!

This home is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking mountain views in the front and the ocean stretching out behind it. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape from the daily hustle and bustle, this is the place to be. That said, the city is still just a relatively easy drive away if you feel like exploring.One of the best parts? The incredible crosswinds that flow through the house, keeping everything cool and refreshing. We loved every moment here!The pictures truly don’t do it justice—it was even better than I ever could have imagined.The location is fantastic—just a short drive to beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and the colorful streets of Willemstad.The house itself has a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials, making it easy to cook if you feel like staying in.Lisa and Joel are wonderful hosts—super responsive and genuinely great people. They recommended Sylvia, a private chef, who cooked for us on our last night. She was amazing, and we highly recommend her!If you’re looking for a perfect blend of tranquility, adventure, and island charm, this spot is a winner!

A Tranquil Oasis on the Sea

My sisters and I had a wonderful time at the beautiful Sol Patch villa. Everything was perfect. We were primarily on a dive trip, and it’s located just minutes away from several dive sites. We enjoyed the way the space was organized. We had private rooms with fans and air conditioning, and plenty of breezy common open areas to hang out and have meals together, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed lounging in the back with the gorgeous view and the little bird and lizard visitors. The tiny green and white hummingbird even stopped by long enough for a brief photo shoot! After a day of diving and sun, we looked forward to relaxing in the pool and watching the amazing sunsets. The hosts were very helpful, friendly and readily available to answer any questions we had. We hope that we’ll be able to visit again sometime soon!

Overall, it was great and as advertised; A couple of things to know

Communication and check in was good. Pool was great to get in at the end of the day at the beach. Views were outstanding. Very quiet except some neighbor dogs barking at times. It is quite isolated at the end of the road in a gated community, so we felt safe. Something to know is it that gnats, birds, geckos, and anything else can get in the house when the glass part of the main doors are open as there are no screens. The screen in the master bedroom for the door has holes at the bottom, so we did not leave that open. No TV which was fine, but just be prepared. Wifi was great so you can use your tv provider if needed. If you only need to charge phones and small electronics, the US extension cord provided is sufficient.

Absolutely perfect

I really can't say enough good things about Sol Patch #2 and about owners. The property is in a stunningly beautiful location. The back patio / lounge area is all about ocean views and the front looks towards Christoffel Mountain and the lush, green views of Christoffel park. The house is lovely, well decorated, and had all the amenities we needed. The property is a duplex, but the way it is set up is very private. We never saw our neighbors. The owners were the perfect hosts. They were great at giving us recommendations for local businesses, restaurants and snorkeling sites. Speaking of which, we snorkeled every day of our 10 day trip. We went all along the western coast of the island and my favorite spots were all within a 10 - 15 minute drive of the property. Playa Jermei is a local beach with fantastic snorkeling and is, literally, a short walk from the property. Playa Lagun is equally good and is less than a 5 minute drive away. Alice in Wonderland and Kleine Knip are some of the most recommended snorkeling/dive locations on the island and both are less than a 15 minute drive away. If snorkeling / diving are your thing, you'll be hard pressed to find a better location than Sol Patch. There are several great restaurants and dive shops in the surrounding villages that are very close too. We loved Curacao, but Sol Patch 2 really made our stay special. We really can't recommend it enough! Rest assured that this place is truly paradise.

Great location near the best beaches!

Communication was super easy with the hosts. The house looked exactly like the picture and had stunning views of the Caribbean sea. The back porch was wonderful to sit on and have a drink. Beautiful! We came here to swim and snorkel and this location was absolutely the best spot on the island. It's important to know that there is only air conditioning in the bedrooms to be run at night. That was a little challenging when we first arrived as it is really hot. However, by day two, you are used to the heat and there's a wonderful breeze that blows in from the front door all the way to the back. This appears to be common to homes on the island. We absolutely loved our stay and will def be back!

Beautiful Property

Pros 1. Great cross breeze that kept the place pretty comfortable. 2. Absolutely stunning views!! 3. Pool is lovely. 4. Great location on the island. We love the area. Cons 1. No screens on the doors and windows in the main part of the house (and holes in the screens in the bedroom). This allowed MANY biting gnats into the home as well as geckos and birds. We had to buy several citronella candles to use as well as use bug spray. 2. The locks on the home are pretty difficult. The key is not a usual key (kind of like a skeleton key). It also required the key to be used from the inside as well. It made it difficult to lock up at night and unlock everything in the morning. It also felt unsafe in the event we needed to get out in the event of a fire or an emergency. 3. No curtains on the front door. The front doors are glass and are facing the driveway and road. So any time anyone pulls in, they are looking directly into the home. 4. No shelving in the showers aside from one small soap dish. This meant everything had to sit on the floor of the shower. 5. The back door didn't latch so we had to keep it locked if we wanted it to stay shut. 6. No regular coffeemaker. This is just be a matter of preference. They have a French press available which is fine. It was easy to use but a pain to clean out every day. 7. No TV. Again this is a matter of preference and not why we are on the island but it would have been nice for the evening.

Sunset bliss!

We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing vacation! Sol Patch exceeded our expectations for our long anticipated and very much needed trip. Your recommendation for Sylvia's Thai food delivered right to our door was one of our favorite meals among many on island!

Beautiful location

This property is truly nice. The view is spectacular, especially sunset. The breezes through the house is awesome. I will say the electrical system as far as using US appliances is not good. I even plugged into their US system and I couldn't get things to work. They worked when I got home. They were not broken. Lots of ants in the front bedroom. Nothing too bad. Mostly from the sink. Overall I would highly recommend this place. I would stay there again. It is a place for complete relaxation!! Owners Lisa and Joel are extremely nice and helpful too. I would recommend everyone visit the restaurant Landhuis Daniel.....we went there twice. Delicious. Also, we ordered from the person in their booklet to bring food to you. Delicious. Stay clear of the restaurant up the road called Blue something. It's awful!! Trust me. Joel and Lisa, thanks for a lovely stay.

Loved the Sol Patch Property

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the design of this property. Located on the Northwest end of the Island, it was a perfect place for awesome beach access and the parks. Located right facing the ocean, we were able to witness beautiful sunsets each evening while bathing in the small pool on the property. Kitchen amenities were great and saves money when you cook for yourselves...Although we did go out a couple of times for dinner at places recommended by Joel and Lisa. All in all, my wife and I had a great stay and highly recommend this property.

Slice of Paradise

We enjoyed our stay. In fact, we looked to book again for next year and its already been booked. Joel was easy to chat with and had plenty of tips to share, even for folks who have stayed in the area before. We loved having the pool, though I worry about slipping with no handrail. Stepping stones to the pool would be helpful so shoes aren't needed. We were comfortable with the beds and furniture. The kitchen was easy to cook in. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, secluded stay.

If you want to totally relax….

Sol Patch 2 is my idea of heaven on earth. What could be better than morning coffee, gazing at the sea, with just the sound of birds, breeze, and the water? If you want an excited, action packed vacation, this is probably not your cup of tea. But if you want to totally relax, away from it all, and surrounded by beauty, this is the place!

Relaxing getaway with snorkeling and hiking!

My husband and I had an amazing week at Jeremi #2. This was our first time to Curacao and we were looking for a place where we could explore and go on adventures, but also just relax and enjoy nature. Even before we arrived, Lisa provided recommendations for car rental, spas, and grocery stores. Once we arrived Joel filled us in on local restaturants and all of the nearby hiking trails and snorkel sites. The location of the property was perfect as a home base for exploration (close proximity to snorkel sites and Christoffel National Park) as well as a quiet place to relax with a stunning view of the water. After a day of exploring Willemstad, UTV'ing, or hitting up a few snorkel sites, we enjoyed many hours relaxing on the deck with a cocktail in hand watching the tuna jump and lizards stroll by. I cannot recommend this place enough.We will definitely be back!

Peaceful, secluded space for visiting Western Curaçao

The hosts clearly put effort and care into making this a wonderful space for relaxation and a base for seeing all that the western end of Curaçao has to offer. In a secured, gated community, the small private pool was on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean plus the large deck was perfect for watching the stunning sunsets. Joel and Lisa were friendly, helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Rental car is a must. Would return here - strongly recommend.

You won’t regret it!

We had a fabulous stay at Sol Patch 2. Beautiful private setting was the perfect place to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We sat in the pool at sunset or under the stars every day and spent lots of time relaxing on the huge veranda, watching the birds and boats pass by. Easy access to local beaches, Cristoffel National Park. Great snorkeling at nearby Klein Knip. Joel was quick to respond to text messages, and he provided great recommendations for local hikes and bird watching. The place was a dream.

Fantastic oceanfront hideaway

This is a wonderful place, a peaceful location, with a very charming small house with amazing views, both sunset and moonlight. Curaçao was unusually hot when we were there but this was never a problem because of the breeze through the house and of course the pool. Many thanks to Joel and Lisa for the hospitality and all the kind advice on restaurants, groceries etc. We are already looking forward to our next trip and will surely be back!
