Gone Downhill

I've stayed, off and on, at this motel for decades. But both the service and accommodations have gone downhill and are in need of a major overhaul. There was no one on site to check me in; it was handled remotely by putting my credit card in a machine while talking to someone on the phone. Room was in a state of disrepair. Tub was old and dirty. Bathroom door opened into the toilet. Sink did not drain properly and faucet did not provide hot water. Electrical items were not plugged in. Pool was closed and looked like a construction site. No maid service. No breakfast. Parking lot was uneven and in need of paving. For all of the above reasons, I didn't feel totally safe. I did speak to an onsite caretaker who was very nice; none of this is her fault.

I had to call someone to check I, then I made my own room key, then I saw the room. It was a dive. Nasty.

Checking in over the phone was a bit odd. It’s a good, bare bones option. If all you need is a place to sleep for the night, it fits the bill. Amazing breakfast place across the street.

Read reviews about checking in & was worried. I had no problem. Called the phone # - lady answered right away. Walked me through the payment & key card process & I was done & in my room in 5 minutes. She gave us a different room & it was clean & looked like all new bathroom and curtains. We'll definitely stay here again

Sheets on bed were dirty. Iron provided had something melted all over it. Shower had no water pressure... unable to properly rinse (short) hair. Check-in is done via phone in lobby; was okay once got used to this and no one actually being present for service. When arriving housekeeping staff stood outside a room, smoking so that the smell was unavoidable when entering/exiting the lobby or any of the rooms of that building.

Nice motel

Room was clean and spacious. Loved it had a microwave and refrigerator. Didn’t like the check-in and check-out process. No one at front desk to communicate with.

Had to check myself in at the desk. Had me call a number and took for ever t answer. Then I ran my own card and do the door key as well. Room was dated from the 70’s! Smelled of smoke on the room. Luckily I had some Fabreeze with me.

Property was in good location but room needs updating. We had someone trying to get in our room with their key (they were at the wrong room). There was a dripping sound all night and the heat is loud. Not much sleep

I liked that it was quiet and pet free. Didn’t like the beds they wete so uncomfortable. No one at front desk for check in it was remote check in so no receipt.
