Stay here if you enjoy cockroaches

We booked a 2 night stay at this hotel, but ended up checking out after the first night because of how terrible the room was. 1. We found cockroaches in our room 2. The beds are utterly uncomfortable 3. Since the elevator to the lobby was broken they left the door accessing the ground floor units open - therefore any one could just wander in. Major security issue. 4. The front desk leaves much to be desired 5. I asked for a call back from a manager 4 times and haven’t heard a peep from them.

The are was beautiful, staff was nice , pool was dirty couldn't really enjoy and that was the maen reason for the visit to relax in the pool area, blinds didn't work was told they needed to be charged up!

I will never use this site again. I attempted to change the day I was going to travel. Hotels misled me and said they tried to call the hotel and the hotel wouldn't answer. I spoke with the hotel and they said, hotels.com didnt call. I no longer trust Hotels.com or the hotel.

The first TWO sets of keys we were given did not work. The desk person then came to the room and also could not get the keys to work so he had to move us to a different room. The staff was helpful but it was inconvenient since it was so late.

This hotel is instantly different from most, in a good way, and I'll let the review reader discover why. I chose a king jr. suite, for myself only, and it was abundantly spacious. The fridge was well stocked with complimentary beverages. Plenty of available towels were on hand and Dove products were available for use. My iron wasn't working and they immediately replaced it with a brand new one. The ONLY downside was that my room was on the ground floor and being that I love natural light, I had to keep my window closed because my view was the parking lot. All things considered, I will most definitely choose The Elm for my next stay.
