Wonderful overnight stay with our cavapoo

We had a truly lovely stay at The Marlborough Hotel, made even more special by its dog-friendly policy which meant our cavapoo could join us on the trip — a huge plus for pet owners! The room had everything we needed and very clean. We had a lovely room with a bay window and two large chairs overlooking the pier. The hospitality was second to none — staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout our stay, which made us feel genuinely welcome. Breakfast was a highlight: a table was set up for us in the bar area (as dogs aren't allowed in the main restaurant which is perfectly understandable), and our order was taken with care. The menu offered a wide selection, catering to all tastes, and the service was just as impressive as the food. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend The Marlborough Hotel to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and pet-friendly hotel

The main meals were very poor the starter as far as salad garnish was virtually non existent. The main course especially the vegetables mashed cauliflower and cheese looked like vomit and tasted the same The Yorkshire pudding was like pork crackling.

Charming hotel

Lovely hotel Charming feel to the whole building. Had a single room,plenty of space with a great view. Hotel has a lovely little bar and evening entertainment which was just the right level for the hotel. Breakfast was a great experience with an allocated table and actual waiter service

At time of writing: This hotel is great value for money. The staff are very pleasant. The location is excellent. The bed is very comfortable. There is entertainment on in the evening plus a bar and restaurant. The hotel is dated, old fashioned though, and the guests from my experience tend to be retirement age persons (so if you are of retirement age this will appeal greatly). Overall summary, more than half the price of other hotels, clean hotel, friendly staff, great location, but very tired and dated hotel rooms.

On arrival we were greeted by friendly polite staff which was nice. Check in very simply and straight forward. We were allocated a room on the 2nd floor. Got to experience the lift, it’s the lift from faulty towers but it works! Got to the room and wow it was hot, window hardly opened which is obviously for safety reasons. Went to reception and asked for a fan but was told they were all being used and no other rooms available to move. Left it with them to see what they can do but didn’t hear anything else. It was too late for us to buy one as the shops were closed. If you stay take a fan! The room and hotel is extremely dated but it’s a super budget hotel so you get what you pay for. However it was very clean couldn’t fault it for that. We got through the night just about woke up and headed to breakfast. Breakfast was lovely can’t fault it, everything you need to start the day. We were separate to the main restaurant due to having a dog with us which was absolutely fine. Checked out and spent our day in Llandudno. Would we stay again unfortunately we wouldn’t just because of the hot room and the uncomfortable beds we would pay a bit more and stay else where. Thanks
