I was initially excited to stay for the first time at Courtyard by Marriott, however when I arrived I was shocked when they told me would be charging my credit card an unexpected amount of $10.00 per night just simply to PARK ON THE PROPERTY, and that if I didn't want to pay the fee, I would have to park on the street off property. This was apparently in the 'fine print' that I didn't seen on my reservation page. I saw that it said 'parking available', but there was nothing next to that referring to a parking charge, this must have been mentioned somewhere else that was NOT readily seen, I usually catch things like that, but it must have been where the information was about a deposit being place on your card for your stay that is always refunded, but this additional parking charge is taken from that deposit by Courtyard. I told them at the desk that I did not think this was appropriate, and that I had a car loaded with my music equipment as a musician on the road. They didn't care, and they said if I didn't agree I would have to park on the street off property. This is very bad business, and the last thing I expected from an upscale hotel chain like Marriott. I thought about trying to move to a different competitor hotel nearby, but it was already after 11pm and I was exhausted, so I was forced to pay the parking fee, which amounted to $20.00 for both nights. I informed the clerk I likely will try not to stay at Marriott again because of this.

Great facility, but noisy noisy noisy. HVAC was so loud it woke us up every time it turned on, mini fridge rattled constantly, could hear the elevator ding every time it was used, could hear the neighboring room, could hear everyone in the hallway.

I’ve been coming to this hotel on and off for the past couple of years. All of a sudden they start charging for overnight parking and there are additional charges to my credit which aren’t clear. There was a fire alarm during the evening. It turned out to be nothing, just a false alarm in one of the rooms, but there was no explanation nor was there communication telling the guests that all is fine so guests can go back to their rooms. Had to go and ask the reception then was informed. Communication could be better. Also, the Bistro is not a "full" restaurant. There were limited options for breakfast or dinner. Ok for most people, but probably not good if you have a picky eater.

Our visit was prompted by a family emergency. Given the circumstances and the long drive, we really appreciated Cameron’s friendly demeanor and efficiency at check in. The same can be said of the staff at the Bistro. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. There were no slow drains, which is a pet peeve of mine. There were plenty of outlets; every light fixture and couch had at least one. The stay was the least of our concerns during this stressful trip.
