The meals and the survice were wonderful, lack of aircon was a bit of a problem, but apparently you needed to ask for a room with aircon. Apart from that ,the staff and the service were excellent

Tried to put us in a different room at the start even though I booked for a specific room with enough beds. Whole place looks tired and worn. Room has no airco and only provided a tiny fan that did nothin. Mid summer so it was very hot in the night and uncomfortable. Receptionist was rude and told my daughter to shut up when she was singing. Terrible

The site is great, so central in Lower Hutt. The outside of the complex is very drab & needs a serious spruce up. The interior is extremely dated, very sad looking. Room we had needs a major upgrade - interior repaint, new curtains (nets were torn), inside window frames were water stained, furnishings old, carpet stained. Main hallway carpet was also badly stained, hall was dark & dingy. The complex must be just bordering on being fit for accommodation & owners need to invest in a major cosmetic upgrade of new interior painting, new furnishings & drapes. This would then return the complex to a very attractive one.

We were sadly down for a family funeral so this venue was the perfect location as we could walk next door to the funeral home. Although dated the room was clean and tidy and very quiet. The Staff were lovely and friendly. The highlight was Pickles the Cockatoo who is clearly dearly loved by all staff. He cheered us up after some very sad days and for that we were very grateful. Would definitely stay here again.
