It offers a spacious layout and picture windows so close to the Big Lake that its waves practically lap at your toes.

Offering an abundantly spacious layout, the Great Room is home to a wood-burning fireplace, dining table, game table, and picture windows so close to the Big Lake that its waves practically lap at your toes. The master bedroom has a king bed overlooking the water, allowing guests to fall asleep to the soothing sound of lapping waves. The 2 full bathrooms are outfitted in spa-like fashion with oversized deep-soaker tubs. With the 2nd and 3rd loft bedrooms, one outfitted with a king bed, the other with a queen — and a sleeper sofa in a private corner of the loft — Cedarwood can comfortably sleep 8 adults.

Outside, a beachside patio sits elevated just above the cobblestone shore. A pro-style gas grill makes for easy outdoor cooking and gathering. As idyllic as the Cedarwood Hollow is, the cabin itself is only the beginning …

Cedarwood is situated in the heart of the most legendary and spectacular section of the entire North Shore. Except for a few private parcels of land right along the Lake Superior Shore, Cedarwood essentially sits in the middle of pristine Cascade River State Park. Hundreds of miles of Sawtooth Mountains trails (hiking in the summer, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter) are accessible right out the front door of the cabin. Cascade Lodge Restaurant & Pub is an easy 1-mile walk and features great food, drinks, and frequent live music. A trail leading to Cascade Falls is just 1.5 miles from Cedarwood`s door. And within a 30-minute drive, everything the North Shore is known for is accessible: world-class hiking, fishing, kayaking, biking trails, skiing, galleries, restaurants, NorthHouse Folk School, and a vibrant live music scene. After all, Cedarwood Hollow sits in the heart of Cook County and Grand Marais, which was named by Travel & Leisure magazine as `America`s Best Small Lake Town` in 2023!

NorthLight Lodging is a family-operated, boutique hospitality operation consisting of several guest cabins along Lake Superior’s North Shore in northern Minnesota. Ranging in size from 1 to 4+ bedrooms — and all sitting along the easternmost stretch of coveted Cascade Beach Road — NorthLight`s properties are located halfway between the grandeur and skiing of the Lutsen Mountains and the charming harbor town of Grand Marais. Each cabin is nestled right along the lakeshore and has been curated with painstaking attention to detail. Our goal in designing, crafting, and appointing our cabins is to embody all the subtle enchantment of the North Shore region we so love. We aspire to offer incomparably welcoming spaces — cared for with meticulous attention to detail — that foster inspiration, connection, and wonder for all who visit.

Cedarwood Hollow is uniquely perched right on the edge of one of the most stunning stretches of beach anywhere along the North Shore — with Lake Superior`s waves literally lapping at its edge! It has captured our imaginations since the first time we stumbled upon it — and still does today!

Cedarwood Hollow is located on Cascade Beach Road, a quiet, lightly traveled eight-mile gravel road that usually sees more walkers and cyclists than it does cars. There is no parking on Cascade Beach Road, but the private drive offers plenty of parking for guests.

DEPARTURE:
Premises must be vacated on or before the Reservation Period ends. Guest acknowledges that if Premises has not been vacated on or before Check-Out, a $500 fee will be assessed and an additional $100/hour will be charged for each
hour occupied after Reservation Period ends. Please respect our need to prepare for the next Guest by ensuring an on-time departure.
EARLY CHECK-IN OR LATE CHECKOUT:
When available, the Reservation Period can be extended for an additional fee of $50 per hour. This option must be arranged in
advance in writing. Guest should inquire if interested and Brushpoint will do its best to accommodate the request if possible.
