Belair is one of the 24 quarters in Luxembourg, located in the western part of the city. An easy walk from the city center, this residential neighborhood is a wonderful introduction to the city. Lively cafes, bars, and restaurants line the streets in the southern part of Belair, near the sprawling Parc de Merl. You can find everything from artisanal gelato to high-end sushi in Belair. Those who like to cater for themselves will find everything they need at the well-stocked Allima market. Other neighborhood highlights include a tennis club and the adorable Castle Playground, where children can climb around in a scale model of a medieval castle. The neighborhood is served by several bus lines, and all public transportation is free in Luxembourg.
