Explore this sloping neighborhood Located in the 1st district of Lyon, the area stretches from the Jardin des Plantes up to the top of the Croix-Rousse hill. It forms the famous link between the city of Lyon and the village of Croix-Rousse. The neighborhood is centered around the Montée de La Grand-Côte, which almost vertically connects Place des Terreaux to Boulevard de la Croix-Rousse. To the west, the Chartreux district and its gardens overlook the Saône River. To the east, the Montée Saint-Sébastien, Gros Caillou esplanade, and Place Bellevue offer magnificent views of Parc de la Tête d'Or and the Alps.

Leisure in the Croix-Rousse slopes The Croix-Rousse slopes are a great place for children with numerous green spaces, such as the Croix-Paquet garden, Chartreux, Sutter, and the Jardin des Plantes.
